Haley blasts Blinken for denying link between $6B and Hamas attacks on Israel

This moment is tailor-made for Nikki Haley. She is at her best when she is talking tough about foreign policy.

Biden’s reaction has been lethargic, at best. He wasn’t heard from until late afternoon Saturday after Americans had been watching the attacks on Israel since the early morning hours. He called a late morning lid for the press corps on Sunday and then entertained staff and their families with a bbq at the White House.

Blinken was sent out to all the Sunday political shows to cover for Biden and his ineptness on the world stage. As I noted yesterday, he was unable to escape blurting out the truth that yes, of course, Iran uses its vast wealth to fund terrorism. The Biden administration can send everyone out to deny any connection between the $6B in frozen assets that is now available to Iran as part of a prisoner swap but it’s all spin. Iran may not have literally used any of those billions in starting the war through Hamas against Israel but those billions will replenish Iran’s coffers and help keep them in the terrorism business. To believe anything less is to deny reality.

58% disapprove of Biden’s handling of foreign policy, according to the latest Fox News Poll. Every foreign policy decision Joe Biden has made over the last 50 years has proven to be the wrong decision. It’s hard to picture a worse president to have in the White House right now as the U.S. deals with a war in Ukraine and now war in Israel than the 80-year-old Biden who now is in the throes of dementia on top of his poor decision-making skills. Heaven help us all.

Nikki Haley said it was “irresponsible” for Blinken to say there is no connection between the $6B and the Hamas attacks on Israel. The Biden administration are shameless liars and Blinken has to be held accountable for his spin, as any other member of the administration. This administration wasn’t even acknowledging Iran’s connection yesterday. A CNN reporter, who is a former Obama staffer, ran cover for the administration’s talking point that there is no “smoking gun” to connect Iran to the war in Israel.

You can’t make this stuff up. Biden and his administration will go to any length to protect Iran. Biden is dangerously clueless. On Sunday’s Meet the Press, Haley criticized Blinken for his remarks.

“I actually think it was irresponsible for Secretary Blinken to say that the $6 billion doesn’t weigh in here,” Haley said. “I mean, let’s be honest with the American people and understand that Hamas knows and Iran knows they’re moving money around as we speak because they know $6 billion is going to be released. That’s the reality.”

Haley claimed that it was ignorant to think the funds couldn’t be moved around and used for other means.

“To think that they’re not moving money around is irresponsible,” Haley said. “They hate Israel. They hate America. They are going to continue to use this. It was wrong to release the $6 billion.”

Haley further blasted the Biden administration’s foreign policy in the Middle East.

“It was wrong to go and have that debacle in Afghanistan,” she continued. “It was wrong to waive sanctions on Iran that gave them even more money. Money has been flowing to Iran, and that is the problem, because when Iran gets money, they use it for hate.”

Ron DeSantis spoke out in support of Israel. He has a history of doing that throughout his political career. Here he is about 10 years ago when he was a member of the House of Representatives.

This was his message Saturday:

Mike Pence took an odd stance – he blamed other Republican candidates for Israel’s attack, or something. He said it on CNN, so I guess that was the appropriate venue to blame Republicans for emboldening Hamas.

Do better, Mike Pence. Do lots better.

I think an online friend best describes the situation in the White House. This administration is not up to the challenge.
