The beauty of Enes Kantor Freedom and Royce White's trolling of the WNBA is that it exposes the arbitrary nature of the left's rules.
Defenders of the WNBA are pointing out, I assume rightly, that the two are just pretending to be women and therefore have no business being in the WNBA. Enes Kantor Freedom and Royce White, on the other hand, are demonstrating by persisting in their efforts that the same is true for every other man who is pretending to be a woman, and they, too, have no business being in women's sports.

What is the difference between "Lea" Thomas and Royce White in this regard? Thomas is physically male in every respect, and so are White and EKF. The only difference from the outside is...nothing, really. The alphabet activists are maintaining that Thomas is "really" a woman, and that those two are not, based on nothing more than their mind-reading abilities, which determine that Thomas is "sincere" in being a woman and the other two are not.

Being female is a metaphysical state that can only be determined by observers' feelings. This is an even further step than the absurd assertions they have had to make up until now, where they relied on the statements of people about their own gender to determine reality.

Of course, that standard only applies in some circumstances. When a pedophile and rapist wants to be in a woman's prison, we are bound to believe them and accede to their wishes. There is no appeal to mind reading in this case. Only when the lefties decide they don't like an outcome can they arbitrarily add a rule, applying it only in the cases they choose, to get the desired outcome.

You may think that this is a shift in position, but it is not. Critical theory holds that every act and word expresses power, and that power is the only reality, so we are still stuck in our Western mindset when we point out that the rules were changed.

What makes the effort by these two men so worthwhile is that they keep up the pressure, not just make a point and move on. They have committed to tying the WNBA in knots to defend their absurd positions. This has the potential to work because most of us do not, in fact, have to live in the Truman Show they demand we do; they rely on our willingness to bow to their demands and coerce us with hurtful insults.

Arguing the delusion is a losing play. Instead, you become it, then force everyone else to live with the consequences.
If done well, embracing and amplifying will destroy the delusion.
Freedom’s particular genius is the ambiguity. You genuinely cannot tell whether he is dead serious or doing parody. That uncertainty is the weapon.
The video production is excellent and professionally done as well. He comes across as genuine, respectful, charming, and the perfect blend of playful and dead serious.
Because of that combination, he has forced the issue into the open so aggressively that the WNBA had no choice but to respond.
And once they responded, it already felt like Freedom won. That's because they are now operating from a position of defense. They are inside his frame. Everything they say or do from this point forward seems like defense.
In the public's mind the choice is binary: either they let him play, or they block him. Either outcome makes the WNBA look like it has abandoned its own gender ideology. It's all very impressive.
This latest video is taking everything to the next level because of who he is being interviewed by. Bruce Pearl is not some random guy. He is one of the most respected voices and coaches in college basketball. He now does analysis on national tv.
Getting Pearl into this video is so powerful and such a great next step because it's now adding credibility to Freedom’s entire argument. And it adds another layer of pressure to the WNBA.
And I don't think we've seen another prominent figure like Pearl getting in on this issue yet. Take is as a public sign that the coalition is growing. Freedom is now pulling high-status allies into the mix.
Perfection.
By standing up to the bullies, White and EKF are breaking down the stigma. If other former NBA players decide to jump in, they will force the WNBA to hold even more stupid meetings to come up with ridiculous definitions of what a woman is, until they decide either to drop the fantasy they want us to believe, or instead to create mind-reading sessions to determine whether a claimed trans person is or is not a woman.
I had a terrible moment where It occurred to me that if someone could claim to be Trans in bad faith in order to enter the WNBA, then logically people could do the same thing to gain access to women's changing rooms. Then I remembered that logic is just a far right construct.
