I can't believe that the WNBA has become a thing.
Not in the sense that people pay attention to it as a sports league, of course. The number of people who care much about WNBA games as such is still remarkably small, although Caitlin Clark certainly elevated it to something approaching the excitement of college lacrosse or ultimate frisbee.
What the NBA has become instead is a domestic Jason Arday-type story; what is happening in the league is symbolic of a more general societal sickness that requires immediate attention and remediation, if for no other reason than that it has passed the point where you can ignore it.
The WNBA is what the entire country would be like if run by white liberal women.

Three major controversies intersect here: the anti-white/anti-heterosexual bias in the DEI-obsessed league; the alphabet ideology insistence that reserving women's sports for women is bigoted; and the tolerance for violence against Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham among league officials and even their own coach.
How can the officials allow this to happen?! pic.twitter.com/FwtxEQCk3q

Two major events happened over the weekend that are roiling the league: first, Sophie Cunningham was clotheslined by a black player who was ejected from the game for quite obviously assaulting her, and she immediately tweeted out from the locker room, "white privilege."

— Seth Dillon (@SethDillon) August 8, 2026
Everybody knows why Cunningham was attacked, and that tweet just confirms it. Being black and lesbian in the WNBA means that you should be able to beat up white heterosexual players whenever you like. In fact, if you have paid much attention to the way that WNBA games are refereed, you probably know that Caitlin Clark gets called for fouls that were committed AGAINST her, and has been the subject of an inordinate number of technical fouls that nobody thinks are reasonable.
The WNBA has the WORST refs in sports
— BrickCenter (@BrickCenter_) August 8, 2026
They confirmed Caitlin Clark received a tech for accidentally bumping into a ref. pic.twitter.com/uExP64xL1o
That technical, by the way, was reversed after a huge outcry from the fans. That's apparently the only check on the league's desire to destroy its two cash cows: Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark.
In the press conference after the game, when Cunningham was almost decapitated, her own coach defended the player who assaulted her. Just look at how embarrassed and likely angry Caitlin Clark is as her coach stands up not for Sophie Cunningham, but for DiJonai Carrington (what kind of name is that?), who clotheslined her.
I will never utter a word in Stephanie White's defense again. Never. She's sick. Must be fired. What a joke. https://t.co/zwRSCctlPF
— Jason Whitlock (@jasonwhitlock) August 9, 2026
Both Sports Illustrated and USA Today Sports took shots at Sophie Cunningham, not Carrington, after the incident. It seems to be an assumption that one of the main purposes of the WNBA is to beat up on white heterosexual "cisgender" women.
It's not to exhibit good basketball; it's purpose is to promote a radical version of social justice.
Apparently if you dare complain about her gettin eye-gouged or throat-punched, it's a dog whistle to encourage Emmett Till-style lynchings.

Not according to some 6-follower straitjacket X rando, according to a staff sports columnist for USA Today.
I'm not joking:
Sports Illustrated says Sophie Cunningham deserved to get assaulted by DiJonai pic.twitter.com/bdx0hZqDzK
— BrickCenter (@BrickCenter_) August 9, 2026
Karma? Really?
Can we all admit now that DEI and "social justice" are about nothing more than expressing hate and resentment? I guarantee you that every single one of these rather unpleasant mothers of puppies (there are words I am not supposed to use) believes that Caitlin Clark is admired and watched solely because of her skin color and sexual preference.
Their own obscurity has nothing to do with the fact that they are unpleasant, talentless hacks.
Imagine looking at these two photos and claiming that the white girl is the one who should have been ejected -- not the person trying to rip her head off.

Social Justice Warriors are motivated by hate, and committing violence seems to be a necessary catharsis for the players, and watching it play out is psychologically important for their "fans." The fact that the WNBA didn't even qualify as an also-ran league until Caitlin Clark showed up is, for them, proof that the deck is stacked against them, instead of a demonstration that nobody wants to watch s***ty basketball.
In short this is not a women's sports league. It's a joyless, angry, violent, race obsessed non-stop 2018 Oberlin struggle session filled with entitled lunatics unable to survive without someone else picking up the bill. They whine when they don't get attention, and whine 10x…

In short this is not a women's sports league. It's a joyless, angry, violent, race obsessed non-stop 2018 Oberlin struggle session filled with entitled lunatics unable to survive without someone else picking up the bill. They whine when they don't get attention, and whine 10x harder when they do. They whine hardest about the problematic "new fans" who quadrupled their pay, tripled their TV audiences, 10x-ed their franchise valuations, got them charter jets, and staved off their inevitable bankruptcy for 10 years or so.
I sincerely hope they achieve their dream of exorcising themselves of CC and all those dreaded "new fans," and return to their beloved Paradise Lost of half-empty 1000 seat high school gyms attended by girl fight fetishists with giveaway tickets printed on Subway Sandwich receipts.
The second big event that happened over the weekend was the sudden emergence of Enes Kantor Freedom and Royce White as women who want to play in the WNBA.
Apparently, there is nothing in the rules that would prevent it; the only disqualification that could apply is the fact that they were not women, but they now both self-identify as women, so they certainly should be eligible and be quite attractive prospects, given their basketball skills.
It came y'all... My 1st wig! Tomorrow I test it on the court. This is my feminine era glow up, did I slay? If y'all don't "yassss queen" you're transphobic. I really don't understand all the hatred, I just want to play some hoops with my fellow ladies. 💅🏽

Now some people are arguing that these former men are not REALLY transgender, but that argument doesn't fly. We don't get to tell people what gender they are; self-identifying is the only standard that we are allowed to use, right? How else are we supposed to know? Is there some third-party gender police out there? If you are not going by the definitions we all agreed on until five minutes ago, what other standards are there?
Somebody's feels?
.@AndrewMercado You say some men ‘sincerely’ identify as women, but that these two men aren’t sincere. Do sincere men injure fewer women and girls than the insincere ones? How do we test for sincerity? What if a Sincerity Jury is split? Very much looking forward to your answers. https://t.co/WBg4ez9BKU

We can consult Gavin Newsom's wife, who has been making bank running a nonprofit to educate us all on this topic to get her answer, which seems to be the Approved™ one until it became inconvenient.
To all the bigoted people who are attacking Enes Kanter for pursuing her dream of playing in the WNBA,
— MAZE (@mazemoore) August 8, 2026
Please listen to these enlightened words from Gavin Newsom's wife. She speaks such truth to power.
Gender is not real. It's a social construct.
End hate. Support Enes. pic.twitter.com/d1kUIgKYKI
If we can put rapists and pedos in women's prisons on nothing but their own say-so, by what standard will you deny these former men a shot at the big leagues in the WNBA?
🚨 LMAO! The WNBA is literally planning a meeting to figure out what a "woman" is after former NBA athletes plot their participation in the 2027 WNBA Draft
— Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) August 9, 2026
This could end up being one of the most EMBARRASSING blows to the transgender cult in recent memory.
Let the men compete… pic.twitter.com/2IZt4ZuEDq
Enes Kantor Freedom has hired a lawyer to ensure that his rights are not violated should the WNBA not give him a shot at playing based on mere prejudice. The League has made clear that they would welcome trans players, so it would be arbitrary for them to decide that he doesn't count.
By what standard? Is there one?
After two former first round NBA draft picks declared for @wnba draft, the WNBA’s commissioner says the league will be meeting to review what a woman is for purposes of league eligibility. These meetings need to be streamed live. That’s must see TV. https://t.co/wEdwVa05Up
— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) August 8, 2026
Several players and coaches are already on record saying they want trans players; it's time to put their money where their mouths are. Is it their position that only weak and sucky trans players may apply, or are they willing to play against the big (former) boys?
WNBA head coach Cheryl Reeves makes the case for including men in women’s sports.
— Denny Burk (@DennyBurk) August 2, 2026
This will destroy women’s sports if they keep doing this. The WNBA is going to alienate about half the country or more if they keep pushing this.
Insane. pic.twitter.com/Ugdv7GLBxz
The Alphabet people are butthurt because people are willing to hold them to the standards by which they claim to live. The problem is simple: they believe that they alone get to define every word and concept, while claiming something else entirely. They aren't "inclusive"; they are tyrants, and being called out for it.
Not very "inclusive" of you.

I didn't know this, but there is actually an NBA "Gatorade" League for players who are being considered and groomed to move up to the NBA, similar to AAA ball clubs. The players only make $45,000 a year, and could see their salaries skyrocket if they switched over to the WNBA. All they would need to do is declare themselves women, unless the WNBA decides to set limits that would be something other than self-identity.

Personally, I think that there is a better alternative: set up matches between the "pro" WNBA players and the semi-pro NBA G League players, sort of like how TEAM USA women play high-school soccer players. It could be instructive.
Not that anybody actually wants to learn that lesson.
