The WNBA Is Basically a Hate Group

Nobody is less motivated to watch a WNBA game than I am.

In fact, the only WNBA action that I have ever seen is clips on X that I scroll by, mostly without watching.

But even I know who Caitlin Clark is and why she is so popular among basketball fans. She is the person who put the WNBA on the map, whose jersey sales, along with her now-famous teammate Sophie Cunningham, outsell those of every other WNBA player combined by a whopping 2-1 margin.

In case you didn't know, Cunningham is the woman in the now-viral meme template:

Both Clark and Cunningham are absolutely despised by other women in the WNBA, primarily because they are white, and secondarily because they are heterosexual, which makes them outliers in the league, which is dominated, only by demographics, by black lesbians with huge chips on their shoulders.

Ever since Clark became a professional basketball player, she has been the object of adulation by the fans and hatred and literal physical assaults, often ignored by the referees, of her "colleagues." The same hatred is exhibited by the people who run the league, who have benefited mightily by the addition of Clark to the roster of players.

As the league keeps stripping her of honors, actually changing the rules to prevent her from getting them, and tries to whitewash her out of their promotional material, players on other teams will punch, push, and even try to physically incapacitate her while referees pretend not to notice.

When Clark was punched in the throat, the incident was ignored on the court. Only after a fan uproar did the league acknowledge that a gross foul was committed, and even then her attacker was only lightly punished for what amounted to a crime.

🚨 CAITLIN CLARK GETS PUMMELED — WNBA DOES NOTHING

Dan on Outkick to Laura Ingraham drops truth on the league’s treatment of its biggest star:

The WNBA is run by angry African-American lesbians who resent Caitlin Clark,  a straight, white, ultra-talented phenom with a boyfriend and massive hype. Jealousy, pettiness, and racial/sexual politics on full display.

Hits from behind, cheap shots to the neck/throat/eye, targeting every game. Refs and league ignore it. One-game suspension for a blatant choke? Laughable.

“It started the moment Caitlin Clark got into the league… The undercurrent is race and sexism. She’s heterosexual. She’s white. They can’t stand that she has this popularity.”

Even Sophie Cunningham calling it out. League refuses to protect the golden goose bringing eyes and money. Front office silent.

Protect Caitlin Clark. Stop the cowardice. Talent shouldn’t get punished for winning. The WNBA’s jealousy is killing its own golden moment.

WE all know that if a horde of white heterosexual women were physically abusing a black lesbian, and if the league engaged in the kind of behavior against a black lesbian, the world would explode.

But standards are different, both because the latter would never happen, and the people involved just assume that the intersectional privilege that black and "queer" people get makes them immune from criticism and punishment.

It is no exaggeration to say that Caitlin Clark is the WNBA's savior. The impact she has had on the sport is so great that Wikipedia has a page dedicated to the "Caitlin Clark Effect." When she plays, TV viewership skyrockets, and butts get into seats that are usually empty.

In either case, I could not care less. It's not my thing. What is, though, is the sense of immunity that groups which claim the mantle of "oppressed" have in behaving like savages, and indulging in an unearned sense of victimhood that permits them to strike out.

The behavior we see on the court is merely a microcosm of a shocking trend, where the "oppressed" commit crimes with impunity and make all our lives worse. Teen takeovers, shoplifting, random assaults, and rioting have become "rights" in the eyes of too many.

The WNBA fosters this resentment. Rather than celebrating its biggest star, it treats her as a punching bag.

It is a hate group.
