Hmmm: Jasmine Crockett's Delightful, Uplifting Pastor Takes Sudden Leave of Absence

Of course, you know that the 'uplifting and delightful' is meant sardonically, as in the Louis Farrakhan or Jeremiah Wright mold. The type of 'truth-telling' African-American preachers are reportedly known for, which the now Georgia Senator Rafael Warnock, himself a preacher and candidate at the time, said makes people 'uncomfortable.'

That's a take.

Built for a specific audience who will pass on the message.

NOW, I NEVER LIVED THROUGH THE SLAVE PATROL PERIOD

Do tell, chica.

I wonder where she gets it from. Isn't there anyone who can talk some sense into this girl and get her to chill her mouth out some?

It would seem she is a product of her environment and has soaked all the peace, love, and happiness up like a sponge.

This is supposed to be her 'pastor.'

I do not recall any homilies like that growing up. At Lady of the Lake, when I was little, ours were more in the vein of 'Don't lie to your mother and be kind to puppies. Jesus would want that.' If someone was even mentioned because they had died, whatever their stature in life, there were prayers for their souls to be taken to Heaven and for families to find comfort.

Nobody mentioned their skin hue - just death. Horrific, innocent death.

I'm sorry lunatics took advantage of the ghastly situation in Utah to do what they do - HBCUs (historically black colleges and universities) were 'UNDER THREAT.'

The arrest of a suspect in the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk comes as the nation grapples with a wave of grief, anger, and fear — emotions that have spilled into real-world consequences for historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

But seriously - the assassination of Charlie Kirk isn't all about you.

...Black communities bear the burden

Color of Change, a national racial justice organization, addressed the threats in a post on Instagram, writing:

"The last few days in this country have been filled with violence and tragedy. Our political landscape has become rife with rage, grief, and uncertainty. But what remains consistent is that Black people are the first targets during political unrest. Even when the perpetrators of political violence are unknown, our communities bear the consequences."

As investigations continue, HBCUs remain on high alert — not just for physical safety, but for the emotional toll of being caught in the crossfire of political violence.

This self-absorbed viciousness over a vicious murder, and this response from these 'men of God' is the polar opposite of what you'd expect.

Decency at the very least.

Not a mockery of circumstances.

Not whatever that was.

Or whatever this is.

The word 'pastor' is doing some heavy lifting here.

Spiritual guidance along the lines that these fine fellows dispense makes it easy to live with whatever rolls from the empty ozone chamber in your head out your big mouth.

JUST BECAUSE I CALL YOU HITLER DOESN'T MEAN I WANT YOU DEAD...TEE HEE

Pastor Haynes' X timeline is interesting for a 'follower and servant of Jesus.'

I can't see Father Kevin or any of my high school Benedictine monks or priests going for something like that.

It is a different world decades later, I guess, but I don't think that much has changed.

Now that Crockett's favorite but controversial pastor is suddenly in the glare of what could be considered unwelcome limelight, a health issue has reportedly arisen.

...A real pastor does not celebrate death or slander a man who gave his life speaking truth. A real pastor leads souls to Christ, not to hatred. A real pastor follows the Word of God, not the applause of the crowd.

What you are seeing is not a shepherd. It is a fraud using the pulpit for politics. And Scripture is clear about the fate of false teachers.

A 'medical condition.' That's it.

The longtime pastor at Friendship West Baptist Church is taking time off to have surgery.

What we know:

The church announced on Sunday that Senior Pastor Frederick Haynes III has a medical condition. He will take a leave of absence to undergo surgery.

Haynes has served at the Dallas church for more than 40 years.

As many in the comments questioning the timing of this surprise announcement are doing, I'll wish him the best health and a fast recovery. Unlike the graceless venom he showed a murdered man.

If it really is a dire situation, vice simply ducking into the shade out of the heat, perhaps he'll have time for reflection.

It might happen, you know.
