And Another Horrific School Shooting

John was on it when it happened this afternoon.

Jeez Louise. It is so ghastly.

The horror of a mass school shooting struck the Madison area for the second time in seven months on Monday, when police say a teenager shot eight people before taking their own life at a private Christian school.

In total, a student and teacher were killed and six students were injured. Two of them are in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, and four suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening, Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said at a midafternoon news conference.

Shock and grief reverberated across Wisconsin as news of the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School spread. As police methodically cleared the K-12 school, which sits on a 28-acre campus with a preschool and a church, city buses took students to a clinic down the road serving as a reunification point. Some children peered out the bus windows, waving to news crews gathered near the school. Others appeared somber.

As they arrived at the clinic, parents ran inside to meet their children. Some were seen carrying out infant car seats. One child left the clinic with his parents wearing a Santa hat, a reminder that the shooting rocked a school community preparing for Christmas. Most parents declined to speak publicly.

Casualties could have been far worse had officers not been in the area already.

And, as these horrific happenings go, so rare - a female was doing the shooting, although it was hours after the fact before local police would acknowledge that.

The shooter is reported to be a girl who was a student at the school, who, according to the AP, was 17 years old and killed herself at the scene.

  • Victims: A teacher and a teen student were killed in the shooting by a fellow student, Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes said in a press conference Monday afternoon. Six other students are being treated at local hospitals, with two in critical condition.
  • Shooter: The shooter was a 17-year-old female student, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. Police in Madison, Wisconsin, said the shooter apparently was dead by suicide when officers arrived.
  • Location: The shooting took place at the nondenominational Abundant Life Christian School, which has about 390 students, from kindergarten through high school, according to its website.

Andy Ngo has some different information, so, as with the early hours of any horrific event, there are going to be conflicting accounts to sift through. Ngo seems pretty locked into his information.

According to his sources and what he's found online, she's two years younger - fifteen - had raging anti-male issues and a manifesto replate with radical feminist ideology. She supposedly had a complete obsession with death and school shooters, using several of the more notorious as pictures for different app accounts. In one of her posts with photos, she also received the weapon, a 9mm pistol, as a present for her birthday.

She was not transgender but was obviously in the throes of a severe mental affliction - hopefully everyone can agree on that.

The president, who can't be bothered to get up before noon in the face of a national emergency, apparently couldn't wait to jet out a gun control statement on this.

Par for the course from the vegetable.

Wisconsin law is quite clear about 17-year-olds owning or buying a pistol - it's a big fat 'no.'

Even the worst of the worst had something to say. McCabe knows all about convenient lawbreaking.

And WTF is "changes the CONTEXT of gun ownership," you renegade?

...“We’re [going] nowhere because it keeps happening. We know it's going to happen again. It's happening today. It's going to happen again in the near future. I can guarantee you that and every time it happens, we do just about nothing. That doesn't mean there aren't things we can't do. We could do things. We could — we could support and enact legislation that changes the — the — the context of gun ownership in this country and emphasizes gun safety and responsibility with the firearms that you own and keeping them out of the hands of children and doing — and really vigorous, consistent background checks across the country. We could stop selling people — stop — you — eliminate the ability to purchase guns without a background check. Now, we don't know if any of those factors were relevant in this shooting, but we're talking about a big problem here — right — that these are the things that impact the level of gun violence in our country, but the fact is, we do not have the political will to improve this situation. We don't have that and so, as — as citizens, it can be frustrating because you like, what can I do? Well, what you can do is start supporting people who think the same way that you do about a need for greater gun safety, a need for greater safety in our schools, and are — are committed to the idea of reducing gun violence, but until we do that, as long as we keep sending the same sort of political calculations to Congress every year, we can't really — we're not — we're not really ever going to change the fundamentals around this and those are those are the only things that we can do in a free, democratic society. We can enact laws and try to make things better for everyone or we can just keep shaking our heads, turning off the television and waiting for the next mass shooting.”

Modus operandi for the Left in general.

And I can't wait to hear from this jackass how murder is different from *checks notes* murder.

In the meantime, there are two innocent victims who have devastated families mourning their loss tonight, and six other families, some who don't know yet if their loved ones will recover.

Yes, our warmest condolences and most positive thoughts and prayers go out to them because that's what you do first.

...The school also acknowledged the shooting in a post on Facebook, requesting prayers from the community.

"Prayers Requested! Today, we had an active shooter incident at ALCS. We are in the midst of following up. We will share information as we are able. Please pray for our Challenger Family," the school wrote.

That's what you do.
