Mayim Bialik Calls Herself a “Stranger in a Strange Land” Over Jew Hate on Display

It’s been a rude awakening for leftists in America. The anti-Semitism on display on college campuses, the anti-Israel protests, the calls for death to Jews and the annihilation of Israel have finally opened the eyes of many Jews on the political left.

The hatred on American campuses is real and it is growing. Actress and game show host Mayim Bialik posted an emotional video that lasts 10 minutes on TikTok and Instagram last weekend. As a Jewish American, she spoke about her fears, especially her fear for her 18-year-old son who will be attending college next year. The video is good, as far as showing her support of Israel and Jews, but it would have been much more effective if she had published it any time over the last several years.

The actress is known for tv shows like Blossom, The Big Bang Theory, and Jeopardy. She is known to be a modest person, for example, in how she dresses, and that is traced to her faith. She hasn’t been one in Hollywood to jump on a soapbox for publicity or to prove how woke she is, but she is a liberal Democrat. She said that nothing in her life prepared her for what happened on October 7 and the events after that.

I don’t doubt her sincerity. She is speaking from her heart as a Jew in America, as a mom. She spoke about the calls for Jewish genocide at her alma mater. She mentions the cowardice and ineptness of some universities that have been unable (or won’t) speak out against anti-Semitism on campus.

Bialik, who got her doctoral from UCLA, said students of all backgrounds were chanting on that very campus, calling for a “Jewish genocide” — and she responded, calling it “unacceptable” and “not normal.”

“We should not normalize it,” the actress said. “There is no excuse for calling for a genocide of an entire people. Period. Full stop.”

At one point in the clip, Bialik said her son is looking to go away to college and that many of the schools on his list are “universities that can not find a way to unanimously, undeniably, irrevocably denounce any organization that celebrates the massacre of Jewish people.”

The question I have for her and all the other newly awakened leftists just now speaking up for Israel’s right to defend herself and against the attacks by Hamas on Israel is where has she been? The left has been busy joining arm-in-arm with all kinds of destructive ‘human rights’ movements, including Black Lives Matter, in an attempt to show they are down with the cause, whatever it is. However, Black Lives Matter was founded by Marxists who have the desire to destroy America as we know it. The leadership is rife with anti-Semites. The leftists either blindly joined in with such organizations out of ignorance or due to an agreement with the actions of the group. Some BLM marches specifically called for death to cops. Where was Hollywood then?

American universities and colleges have been marching toward this place in time for years. College administrators have not stopped the spread of hatred toward Jews, or Christians, or conservatives, or any other group of people who are not in sync with the fever dreams of the far-left. Now we are here and it is shocking to see how effective this neglect has been in growing anti-Semitism on college campuses.

Enter Dr. Sheila Nazarian who posted a response to Bialik’s video. She calls her and others out for joining up with previous protests by far-left groups while ignoring the growth of anti-Semitism.

She is an Iranian-American Jew whose family escaped from Iran following the revolution in 1979. She is a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon and has been involved in a Netflix series and reality tv.

“Welcome to the club.” That sums it up. The left, especially progressive Jews, so readily jump on every bandwagon except they failed to notice what was bubbling up in America. Now it is impossible to turn away. It’s good that Bialik is speaking out. It is, however, something that she should have done years ago. It is not brave or bold to do so now. It sounds as if it is just one more bandwagon.
