Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee is running to be the next mayor of Houston. The Democrat primary is a hotly contested race between Jackson Lee and state Senator John Whitmire. Jackson Lee hosted an event featuring her old pal Hillary Clinton Friday in Houston.

Hillary endorsed SJL for mayor, which is no surprise, given they are both longtime Washington, D.C. Democrats who are part of the status quo. She has been a loyal Clintonite since Bill’s days in the Oval Office. So loyal that SJL endorsed Hillary over Barack Obama in 2008 during the Democrat primary.

Hillary brushed aside concern over SJL’s latest controversy – her profanity-filled conversation with a staffer who failed to live up to her expectations. SJL has a reputation as a horrible boss and is consistently voted the worst boss on Capitol Hill by those who work there. Hillary said it shows she’ll be a strong leader, or something.

Following the leak of an alleged recording that rattled Jackson Lee’s campaign, several female political and community leaders spoke up for the congresswoman at a rally Friday morning in Southwest Houston. Among them were Clinton and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, both doubling down on the need to elect Jackson Lee as Houston’s next mayor.

Clinton, who called Jackson Lee a friend, endorsed the congresswoman’s run for mayor earlier this month. On Friday, she praised Jackson Lee as a “tireless champion” for affordable health care, criminal justice reforms, and infrastructure improvement.
Jackson Lee’s advocacy on these issues “does make some people uncomfortable,” Clinton said. “But it’s that discomfort that actually makes it clear she’s fighting for you and not for folks who already have everything that they need.”

Jackson Lee recently found herself at the center of a major controversy after an anonymous source leaked an unverified recording of Jackson Lee allegedly berating a staffer in a profanity-laced rant. Jackson Lee did not confirm the voice in the recording was hers but expressed regret over any pain it might have caused.

23-year-old activist Alex Rosen was in the audience and he rose to shout out some questions to Hillary as she spoke to the audience. Rosen wanted to know why Bill Clinton visited Jeffrey Epstein’s island home so many times. The crowd immediately began booing him and chanting “Sheila.”

“Hey Hillary, Why has your husband been to Epstein Island 26 times?” He was taken down by security and dragged out of the room. Then he was escorted out of the building.

Note that Rosen was wearing a PRIDE t-shirt. Heh.

The video has gained more than one million views, thousands of likes and shares. Rosen wrote ‘I will never be quiet’ in his second post about the clash.

He also posted a photo of himself giving a thumbs-up while being dragged away and another one with the pride shirt he had worn, which was later torn off.

‘So there I was… asking a simple question to Hillary Clinton when I was assaulted by a mob. They ripped the pride shirt off of my body as they dragged me across the burning carpet,’ he wrote.

‘Are y’all transphobic bigots or what’s going on?’ he asked in the post. ‘This seems like a hate crime.’

Rosen is the founder of Predator Poachers, an organization that ‘conducts sting operations on adults who seek sexual activities with minors.’ He is known to confront Democrat politicians and trolls progressive causes. His organization claims responsibility for the arrests of at least 27 pedophiles in the U.S.
