It’s summertime and the temperature is hot, even on the House floor. A heated exchange took place Wednesday between two Republican women, Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) and Lauren Boebert. Instead of talking out their beef away from their colleagues, they stood on the floor and continued the argument as the presiding representative tried to carry on business. He repeatedly told the two to take their discussion to the back, take it off the floor.
They didn’t. The women continued on, oblivious to being addressed by the annoyed presiding representative. It was all captured on C-SPAN, though there was no audio. At one point, witnesses say that MTG called Boebert a little b**ch. It’s one thing to have that kind of confrontation in private but to cause a scene on the House floor is not a good look. What happened to decorum?
Apparently, MTG is upset that Lauren Boebert is copying her articles of impeachment against Joe Biden. It’s a “I was here first” kind of kerfuffle between two very partisan Trump supporters. It is not surprising that either woman would want to get the ball rolling on impeaching Joe Biden, though it would go nowhere in the Senate if it survives in the House. MGT said of the argument, “Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.”
Boebert approached MTG and confronted her about “statements you made about me publicly.” The conversation went downhill from there.
‘Take your conversations to the back,’ the presiding lawmaker said. ‘Off the floor.’
‘Order, please,’ he said again, banging the gavel on the desk before resuming with normal business as Greene and Boebert continued their chat without budging.
While C-SPAN doesn’t have audio of what the lawmakers on the floor, the talk did not appear friendly. At two separate points, Greene is seen pointing and their facial expressions did not appear light-hearted.
Boebert didn’t deny reports of what was said, telling Daily Beast: ‘Marjorie is not my enemy. I came here to protect our children and their posterity. Joe Biden and the Democrats are destroying our country. My priorities are to correct their bad policies and save America.’
The two people who witnesses the exchange, as well as a third familiar with it, told Daily Beast that Greene called Boebert a ‘b***h,’ while another said more specifically that Greene called her ‘a little b***h.’
Not their finest moment. And it gives a Democrat operative the chance to tweet out the argument on Twitter.

Neither woman is a stranger to garnering attention while on the job. MTG told Boebert that she has been supportive to her but doesn’t feel any reciprocity from Boebert. There is clearly some competition going on here. Settle down, ladies. There is plenty of work to do for everyone. There is a country to save.
‘I’ve donated to you, I’ve defended you,’ Greene said, according to one source that witnessed the back-and-forth. ‘But you’ve been nothing but a little b***h to me.’
‘And you copied my articles of impeachment after I asked you to cosponsor them,’ she added, to which the Colorado congresswoman dismissed by claiming she hadn’t even read the resolution.
MTG really, really wants to take credit for filing impeachment papers on Biden and Boebert filed a fast-tracked impeachment resolution against Biden. However, Speaker Kevin McCarthy is against the fast-track approach. He wants it to go to the appropriate committee and move through the process from there. MTG doesn’t appreciate Boebert stepping over her.
‘Lauren Boebert never addressed the conference,’ Greene said earlier on Wednesday in reference to the Colorado Republican not addressing the GOP conference regarding her fast-track resolution.
‘I made it clear to the conference that I have introduced articles of impeachment, literally since Joe Biden’s first day in office,’ Greene added. ‘I have been talking about it with everybody forever.’
‘Literally, everyone. Forever, ’til I’m blue in the face. You see me? I’m blue in the face.’
And, there we are. There are cloak rooms for conversations away from the C-SPAN cameras. MTG has a streak of Rodney Dangerfield in her. She doesn’t get any respect.
