Colorado Christian center burned in mostly peaceful fashion

Longmont PD

In predictable fashion, the night after the Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health was announced, the violence kicked off almost immediately. And in an equally predictable fashion, the majority of the mainstream media mostly ignored it. One of the more notable attacks (among many) took place at the Life Choices Christian crisis center for pregnant women in Longmont, Colorado. When police and firefighters arrived at the center after three o’clock in the morning, the building was already ablaze. The graffiti we’ve come to expect in these attacks was on display, proclaiming the usual messages pushed by Jane Sent Us. But in addition to that, the attackers decided to include the anarchy symbol (a capital letter “A” in a circle) on the walls and the sidewalk. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. (NY Post)

A Colorado Christian crisis center for pregnant women was vandalized and set on fire Saturday morning, a day after the US Supreme Court reversed federal protection of abortions.

Police responded to a fire at Life Choices in Longmont around 3:20 a.m., and found the building ablaze with covered with graffiti messages referencing the controversial reversal of Roe v. Wade, officials said.

“If abortions aren’t safe neither are you,” one message read, accompanied by the circled “A” anarchy symbol.

It’s still early in the investigation, but the police indicated that there were security cameras in the vicinity, so the identity of the arsonists and anarchists may yet be determined so they can be brought to justice. Something tells me that this attack won’t be able to be attributed to the Proud Boys.

When you have elected officials and media talking heads either encouraging or at most ignoring this sort of violence, obviously you’re going to get more of it. Too many people who should know better have turned a blind eye to these attacks when they aren’t outright encouraging them. Do none of them realize how this looks to the rest of the country? When something doesn’t go your way in a legal proceeding, you set the world on fire? And even more specifically, you attack churches and crisis centers that serve the needs of pregnant women?

In other news, a man in Los Angeles was arrested for the attempted murder of LAPD officers with a homemade flamethrower during the protests there.

A man was charged with attempted murder of Los Angeles police officers Friday night amid protests of the Roe v. Wade reversal, cops said.

A woman was also charged with resisting police after four officers were injured following a barrage of projectiles, fireworks and a makeshift blow torch, according to officials.

Michael Ortiz, 30, is accused of throwing a makeshift flame thrower at an officer, who was treated for burns, according to a Saturday press release.

One of Michael Ortiz’s partners-in-crime, a woman named Juliana Bernado, attempted to steal a police baton from the belt of one of the officers and strike him with it. She then reportedly had the nerve to act surprised when she was shot with a rubber bullet. (She was not injured.)

Sadly, there will be few consequences for most of the people involved in these riots. It’s the same situation we saw with the BLM riots during the Summer of Love in 2020 and beyond. It’s apparently now considered to be an acceptable form of “speech” to engage in arson and assaults on law enforcement officers provided you are “speaking” about an issue that is in favor among progressives and their stenographers in the mainstream media.
