Have Democrats settled on their argument to Jews for why they should vote for Abdul El-Sayed, despite the fact that he seems content to have them killed in large numbers by Islamists?
Apparently so, and that argument is that Abdul El-Sayed will save the world from global warming.
I first noticed this line of argumentation when Peter Beinart, a Jew himself, argued that voting for El-Sayed was a vote to save the world from burning to a cinder due to global warming.
He, at least, argued that saving the world meant saving Jews too, so that in a larger sense it was a vote for self-defense in a larger sense than just defending Jews from Islamists. By saving the world, they are also saving themselves.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, also a Jew, goes even further. She is arguing to her fellow religionists that they should be willing to suffer a genocide in order to save the world from global warming.
No, I am not kidding.

The Detroit News: Dana Nessel urges Jewish Dems to place world's needs above self interest
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel suggested in a private speech to Jewish Democrats on August 30 that they should sacrifice their own safety and comfort in exchange for what she described as "the opportunity to save the rest of humanity."
Nessel was speaking to a private gathering of the Michigan Democrat Party's Jewish Caucus, and she naturally had to address her fellow Jewish Democrats' concerns about El-Sayed's obvious hostility to Jews and Israel.
The Detroit News obtained a recording of the discussion, and it is pretty amazing. Nessel apparently thinks that Jews should abandon "Never Again" and bow their heads for the chopping block in order to save the world.
according to a video recording reviewed by The Detroit News, Nessel spoke at length about the tension some Jewish Democrats in the battleground state feel ahead of the November election, as some Democratic candidates have spoken out against Israel. Nessel herself hasn't endorsed Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, a fierce critic of American military aid for Israel's government.
"Come November, what do your Jewish values tell you to do?" Nessel said at one point in her remarks.
"It's so easy to hate people right now, especially other Democrats who seem to have thrown us under the bus, despite our lifelong contributions to our party," she added.
Nessel referenced the story of Queen Esther, who offered to sacrifice her own life to save the Jewish people, she said. The Democratic attorney general said Jewish Democrats have a "moral imperative to place the needs of the world above even our own self-interest."
"It is perhaps up to us now to follow in her path and sacrifice the comfort, safety and security and even the very future of our own people in exchange for the opportunity to save the rest of humanity," Nessel said.
"What good is defending the historic homeland of our ancestors and demanding that candidates acknowledge its right to exist if the planet upon which it rests is no longer inhabitable?"
You may recall that Nessel declined to attend the Michigan Democrat Party convention because she feared for her own safety. She was so worried that her fellow Democrats would make it impossible for her — their sitting Attorney General, who I presume has access to state-provided security — to safely attend the political convention of the party she represents.
In what possible world is this a rational response to a rising threat of antisemitism? For that matter, does Nessel think that Abdul El-Sayed will be in a position to literally save the world? Admittedly, he can't commit genocide all by his lonesome, but he does represent a movement that will directly threaten the lives and safety of Jews both in Israel and the United States.
That's not a notional fear, as with global warming and El-Sayed's supposed ability to stop it. Nessel herself has experienced the danger so much that she abandoned going to the Democratic Convention, and El-Sayed told other Jews that he is willing to sacrifice their safety in order to harm Israel.

“I was upset,” Fried said. “He doesn’t care about the safety of my children.”
El-Sayed and Nessel spoke at the very same event where he said he was willing to sacrifice not just Jews in Israel but the safety of Michigan Jews if they travel there, and Nessel still tells these people to vote for him.
People often talk about "self-hating Jews"; this is what they mean.
Nessel's call for martyrdom in the name of global warming — a problem, if you are worried about it — that El-Sayed can do nothing about anyway, is just plain bizarre. Nessel is telling Jews to drop any tribalism they have as Jews and adopt a different tribalism — loyalty to the Democrat Party.
I am gobsmacked. Who thinks like that?
