Obama famously said that 'elections have consequences,' and despite the rather threatening tone with which he said it, he is absolutely right.
Obama's election signaled a dramatic lurch leftward, although his tone and temperament led most liberals to think he was more center-left than left.
Obama's great achievement was not in passing radical left-wing legislation—Obamacare was one of his few legislative accomplishments, and for the most part, his "success" there stalled his ability to pass much else. It was not so much through legislation that Obama put his stamp on America, but through creating a much more leftist and aggressive federal bureaucracy, and by purging most moderates from the Democratic Party.
There are basically no moderate Democrats left inside the party structure, and Obama's reshaping of the FBI, CIA, and Justice Department (through his "wingman," Eric Holder) set the stage for the lawfare against Trump and the radical policy shifts in the past decade.
Holder gave us Tim Walz, for instance, by clearing the most corrupt Vice Presidential candidate in American history. Henry Wallace was arguably more openly leftist, but then again, Walz idolizes the Chinese Communist Party and got married on the anniversary of the Tiananmen Massacre because he wanted an easy date to remember.
I bring all this up as background to the consequences of the Virginia election for a reason. Virginians were sold a "moderate" Democrat as the Democratic Party's gubernatorial candidate, and what they have gotten is a radical Democrat with an aggressive left-wing agenda that not coincidentally will make Virginia more chaotic and voter fraud much easier.
Abigail Spanberger, by the way, is an alumnus of the Obama-era "reformed" CIA. Personnel is policy.
Can’t stress enough: It really really really matters for whom you vote. https://t.co/1TcG8mS2YU

Republicans didn't focus too much on Spanberger because they saw the gubernatorial race as lost from the beginning, and perhaps it was given that Northern Virginia is dominated by the federal government and the money gusher that spurts out of the swamp. Jay Jones created an opportunity by being an evil bastard, but Democrats who depend on the federal government were so angry about the (Democrat) shutdown that they voted in a man who fantasizes about killing children.
Spanberger, though, is a radical, and unfortunately, not nearly as stupid as Tim Walz. She is moving quickly to lock in Democrats' ability to control the election infrastructure, including ensuring that elections can be rigged.
🚨🇺🇸 VIRGINIA DEMS' FIRST MOVE WITH NEW MAJORITY: BAN HAND-COUNTING BALLOTS

Forty-eight hours. That's all it took.
Virginia's new Democratic majority introduced HB968, forcing machine-readable ballots through scanners and prohibiting hand counts "for any reason" unless explicitly allowed by law.
Hand counts are impossible to hack remotely and easy for anyone to watch.
When half the country already questions election integrity, why rush to eliminate the most transparent backup method?
Interesting priorities.
Paper ballots are used for a reason. Theoretically, the paper is controlled to ensure that ballots are genuine; it is easy to tell if ballots are pre-filled, and there is much less opportunity to change vote totals as actual human beings are doing the counting while political opponents monitor each other.
It's why most democratic countries use paper ballots and hand counting, and they usually do it within hours of the polls closing. America is very much an outlier, and it's because the people in charge don't want secure elections.
Was a landscaper mean to Abby Spanberger in high school or something?

Banning gas-powered landscaping equipment and adding new taxes to battery-powered landscaping equipment is wild. https://t.co/u5o9kiHuTE
Most of her Executive Orders seem anodyne, but they most certainly are not. She is consolidating power and immediately rescinded cooperation with the federal government on immigration enforcement. She intends to expand programs that have been associated with the massive fraud found in other states, and will be partnering with more NGOs to move spending into darker areas, more difficult to monitor.
In TWO previous elections, Spanberger was about to lose...

Mysteriously, a flash drive with a statistically implausible number of Dem votes appeared...and were somehow counted.
I'm sure her party making an electoral audit impossible on DAY ONE is a coincidence. https://t.co/Y2gMhYfUQb pic.twitter.com/a4N4zrCqU1
The 2025 election in Virginia could be a turning point. Democrats are changing the rules to consolidate power.
This is what the government shutdown was really about, which is why it ended shortly after the elections. Democrats in Congress wanted to ensure that their base was maximally angry, and succeeded in seizing power. With even the Attorney General's seat in their hands, Spanberger and the legislature will face few barriers to enacting radical changes.
Elections do have consequences, although the Democrats are trying—again—to render the election of Trump null and void by conducting a low-level civil war against the federal government, along the lines of George Wallace.
