David Duke Joins Pro-Hamas Protest in Michigan

Ironically, David Duke showed to protest the cancelation of an event organized by the ever-charming and intelligent Nick Fuentes, the racist and antisemitic podcaster.

The venue canceled the Fuentes-organized event at the last minute after they discovered who was behind a benign-sounding gathering.

In general, I am not a fan of event centers canceling gatherings after agreements have been made, especially for political reasons. However, if the concern was that protesters and counterprotesters would clash and cause damage the decision was probably justified

Fuentes and others were set to speak Friday at Detroit’s Russel Industrial Center but the center told the Detroit Free Press the booking was made under false pretenses.

“The event was canceled due to fraudulent, knowing misrepresentation of the true nature of the event by the production company for their client, and our concern of safety for our facility, employees, tenants, and the surrounding communities,” the Russel Industrial Center told the Detroit Free Press. “The amount of hate mail we’ve been receiving and terrible things being said towards us by the AFPAC following is disturbing and only affirms our decision as the right one.”

I can't comment about the false pretenses, of course, not knowing what discussions took place, but given the fact that Nick Fuentes is a disgusting little elf whose integrity seems to match that of the average hate-fueled activist from either end of the political spectrum I have to say that the accusation is plausible.

David Duke, of course, knows all about hateful, so it's no surprise that he sees a younger, up-and-coming anti-Black and anti-Semitic podcaster as a brother in arms. They could be two peas in a pod, as it were, although from Duke's interview it doesn't sound like they actually work together.

It's important not to look away and ignore people like Duke and Fuentes, although we shouldn't spend much time talking about them either. We need to reject them strongly, call them what they are, and get back to our message. But we can't avoid the reality that the Democrats want to make these guys the face of the conservative movement.

We certainly shouldn't obsess about them, though. They aren't worth it, and we shouldn't amplify them.

David Duke and Nick Fuentes are fringe figures--as is evidenced by the fact that conservatives have lined up strongly behind Israel--and we should acknowledge they are hateful bigots. They are promoting themselves and demanding credibility as spokesmen within the conservative orbit; that's no more true of them than the Patriot Front.

There are always people like this. Losers blame others for their losing. If the only thing you have to be proud of is your race, you have nothing to be proud of at all.
