Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

Looks like the Sunday shows are taking the holiday weekend off too, sort of. The star guest: HUD Secretary Julian Castro, who’s done next to nothing in politics yet remains the odds-on favorite by dint of his age and race to end up one heartbeat away from the most powerful office in the world come 2017. He’ll be on “State of the Union” to share his thoughts on whatever. Meanwhile, across the dial on “This Week,” a former nine-term congressman and current sitting governor of Ohio, John Kasich, will discuss his longshot bid for the White House. Given Hillary’s age and rumored health issues, who’s more likely to be president circa 2022? Kasich or Castro?

Elsewhere, a guy who’s less likely to be president than either of them will explain why Republicans should speak up on behalf of a man who just copped to molesting his sisters as a teenager. Mike Huckabee is Chris Wallace’s guest on “Fox News Sunday.” The full line-up is at the AP.
