Democrats are not exactly attracting the best and most assuredly not the brightest to run under the blue jackass flag this election cycle.
What is really baffling is how frightened of these, in many cases, out-and-out nutjobs the old establishment guard is, and even the newer blood, such as it is.
Does your job mean that much to you that you will sacrifice your integrity and dignity to snuggle up to the anti-American, hate-filled sociopaths now rampaging through the flaming remnants of your party? I mean, sure, you all were the KKK members and the guys who designated separate drinking fountains and stalled every last bit of civil rights legislation...but there's nuthin' that says you can't change!

Even what passes for 'normal' candidates cozy up to cray cray and then try to hide from the hugs they gave out the second someone calls them out on it.
Here's a prime example, and I'll give you the story as it unfolded. Jocelyn Benson is the Democrat running for governor of Michigan against Republican John James.
He has called her out for 'standing with the radical left.'
Oooh, she's mad and has appealed to authority to dispute it in the form of her veteran husband.

There are no lies detected in John James' completely truthful statement, as confirmed by the evidence, that Ms. Benson 'stands with a radical Left that says America deserved 9/11.'
Former North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, now a candidate for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Thom Tillis, is one of the good old establishment boys keen on keeping the new kids around, no matter how vile or unhinged they may seem.
Seem? ARE.
In the past few days, he was caught on an undercover video affirming that the big tent party was the way for Democrats to go.
We 'got to be together,' the good ol' boy explained to his questioner (video at the link), explaining his strategy to embrace the socialist wing swamping the party.
Roy Cooper, the former North Carolina governor and a Democratic candidate for the Senate, believes his party should incorporate a big-tent approach to an emerging wave of socialist candidates backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
When asked if he would sign the Promise to America, a repudiation of socialist stances put out by moderate Democrats, Cooper said he wouldn’t.
"I don’t see any need to," Cooper said in video footage obtained by Fox News Digital.
"I think the party needs a wide spectrum, particularly at a time when the Republican Party is shrinking and having all kinds of loyalty tests. I think we need to have all kinds of folks to be a part of our party."
Little did he know he'd have a chance to embrace a part of the spectrum that's so far out of the norm so soon, but here it is.
And the state is watching to see what he does.
There's a Democrat candidate for the North Carolina State House whom Professor Jonathan Turley generously believes may have found herself getting little traction and decided to shake things up a bit.
I think anyone who did what she did is certifiably the Mayor of Crazy Town, but I'll leave it to you all to decide for yourselves.
She was at Dachau - yes, THAT Dachau - and posted a photo of herself in front of a set of the infamous ovens.
It's how she tagged it that is making people physically ill.

Headen said she’ll continue to run in spite of resistance from the party.
“I’ve sacrificed myself just like Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross, and Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln and all the people that put themselves out there to sacrifice for our country,” she said. “If a few angry moments on social media are the end, then so be it. MAGA will keep winning if we continue with not standing up for what’s right.”
You GO, girl.
No word from aspiring Senator Cooper so far, and that's kind of a shame.
But then he probably doesn't see any need to, since he's into all kinds of folks.
Besides, every time one drops out, another seems to pop up, like Democratic Whack-A-Whacko.
It gets damn exhausting.
