So many horror stories about Soros-backed and owned District Attorneys, aren't there? Krasner, Fox, Bragg, Gascón, et al - this list is long, and, sadly for residents of the districts they were elected to 'serve,' many of the names have become infamous.
In some cases, citizens woke up and were lucky enough to overcome the progressive Democratic machine and remove them, as in George Gascón's case, which was a stunning victory in Los Angeles. Booting him was going to take a monumental effort in an uber liberal city, and they still managed it - that's how egregiously Gascón betrayed the people's trust and abused the law in favor of those on the wrong side of it.
His power as arbiter of and enforcer of the law became a weapon against the very people he had sworn to protect with it.
If only other citizens were as determined and lucky enough to prevail against the forces of evil that a Soros DA brings with them. Philadelphia's repugnant Larry Krasner has survived recall, impeachment, and now won reelection to a third term, thanks to 'strong black support,' according to one progressive website that follows the trials and travails of Soros prosecutors.
I have another name to etch into the Soros Society of Shame - Fairfax County Steve Descano.
As you all know, Fairfax County, Virginia's most populated and cheek by jowl with Washington, D.C., is its own witches' brew of seething, bubbling progressive wokeness, which routinely overflows its cauldron, scorching the outnumbered regular, rational, taxpaying residents. They do object regularly, with what seems like little effect.
Outgoing State Attorney General Jason Miyares had begun an investigation into the dealings of Descano's office, which included allegations of everything from discovery violations and improper plea deals to ignoring victims' rights.
Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares has released an investigative report alleging misconduct, constitutional violations, and systemic failures within the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office under Steve Descano.
The report outlines years of alleged documented issues, including repeated Brady and discovery violations, improper plea deals, and policies Miyares says jeopardize public safety and ignore victims’ rights.
Sadly, though, this will come to naught, as the woke voters of Virginia chose to remove Miyares in favor of a Democratic death threat-issuing, child murder fantasizing sociopath for their state AG, who will surely deep-six any investigation of a DA who is singing from the same socially deviant sheet of music as he.
Descano may well be heaving a sigh of relief, if he had any normal feelings at all, with what has just happened because of his actions.
There was a murder in Reston, VA, yesterday, the 17th of December.
Officers are on scene of a fatal shooting inside of a residence in the 12300 block of Fan Shell Ct in Reston. The victim, an adult male, was declared deceased on scene. Detectives are investigating. Call 911 w/ info. pic.twitter.com/6CMtOk4Qnp

When security cameras in the area were checked for any 'persons of interest' there at the time, one snapped a picture of this lightfooted subject tripping away.
Detectives are actively looking for the below suspect. He is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s wearing black pants, a gray and black hoodie, and black shoes. Call 911 if seen. More info to follow with updates from @ChiefKDavis. pic.twitter.com/pDJerC0vky

Dogged police work by the Fairfax County Police resulted in snagging said day tripper along with a weapon found nearby after three hours of searching the area.
...Drones, a helicopter and K-9s scoured the Reston neighborhood for close to three hours before Marvin Fernando Morales-Ortez, 23, was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon, Fairfax County Police said. A gun was recovered at the scene, according to a social media post from police.
Police Chief Kevin Davis said the suspect fatally shot another man inside a home in the 12300 block of Fan Shell Court, then fled the area on a bicycle. That neighborhood is near the intersection of the Dulles Access Road and Fairfax County Parkway.
Well done, them.

Where does District Attorney Descano come into this?
His office had had Marvin Fernando Morales-Ortez in custody since September 12 on an attempted murder/gun assault charge, and then?
Inexplicably dropped all charges and released Morales-Ortez, who had prior violent felony arrests, in addition, from jail the day before.

In fact, Morales-Ortiz was considered so dangerous by everyone but Descano's office that when the Fairfax judge released him on the 16th, and word got out?
A county mental health officer went and got an emergency order - valid for eight hours - to retake him into custody. They even locked down the schools.
Yeah. Fairfax County Police were already looking for this psycho less than 24 hours later, worried about the very real possibility of him killing someone.
OOPS
...After his release, a Community Services Board clinician obtained an emergency custody order (ECO) for Morales-Ortez, Fairfax County police said.
"An ECO is valid for eight hours after issuance by a magistrate," the department said in a social media post. "Reston District patrol officers were then dispatched to serve the ECO and take Morales-Ortez into custody."
Officers went to his address on record, but didn't find him before the emergency order expired.
During Wednesday afternoon's manhunt, the police chief said Morales-Ortez was considered “armed and dangerous.”
Five Fairfax County Public Schools in the area were placed on “secure the building” status as police searched for Morales-Ortez, the school system told WTOP in a statement. That means students and staff were asked to remain inside those schools and dismissals were delayed until police could determine it’s safe.
And you'll never guess what makes it even better.
...ICE said Morales-Ortez was from El Salvador and was in the country illegally. In addition, court records indicate that since 2020, Morales-Ortez had been charged with at least seven crimes in Fairfax County.
Welp. No arguing with the facts.
"On December 17, Marvin Fernando Morales-Ortez, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador with prior criminal charges for assaulting law enforcement/first responders allegedly gunned down a Virginia resident in Reston, Virginia.
Fairfax County FAILED the victim by refusing to work with ICE and releasing this criminal alien onto Virginia streets instead of safely into ICE custody.
If Fairfax County would have simply worked to uphold our nation's laws, then this tragedy may have never happened."

I wonder what the governor-elect of Virginia thinks of this?
I doubt anyone will ask her.
Good luck, you guys.
God Almighty, are you going to need it.
