Newsom's 'Brilliant' Comms Team Really Stepping in It

Back in June, the...um...sudden 'saucy' rejoinders flying off the official X account titled 'Governor Newsom Press Office' had some eyebrows flying skyward and eyeballs rolling back into heads so far you had to scrape them out with spoons.

The pace of the spewing hadn't really slacked off, but there had been a subtle shift in message in the last few weeks, as Newsom began to pivot towards making more of a splash on a national stage. His press office began unsubtly aping President Trump's signature style of posting when it came to their clash over gerrymandering.

Leftists like Nicholas Kristof swooned over the messaging, calling it 'delicious mimicry,' even as the rally event it promoted - another Newsom knock-off of a Trump 'Liberation Day' concept - turned into a massive embarrassment between the tiny audience, lunatic progressive speakers...

...and the spectacle of ICE enforcement swarming the sidewalks outside the venue, impervious to Newsom's sputtering, impotent rage.

After that setback, they were reduced to reXweeting the execrable Aaron Rupar's reXweets of their own Newsom rally speech snippets.

Pathetic.

But we did learn something interesting in the interim - who the half-brains were behind the trust running this circus sideshow.

Of course, when that broke and all hell and derision rained down on individuals' heads, they deleted the Xweet. Savvy and no doubt college-educated with massive student loan debt as they no doubt are, you think they'd remember that the innerwebs are forever, and now the chica in charge of this ever-so-witty crew of four is on record.

There's been some snark out of them after being beaten back with their own smug petard for a bit there, but you can't keep a wise-ass progressive down, you know.

And, tragically, what they saw as the perfect opportunity to defend their oleaginous charismatic leader came when this semi-truck driver chose to whip a u-wy in the middle of the busy Florida Turnpike.

Not only was it illegal, but he cut across a lane of traffic, and a minivan with three people in it t-boned his trailer as it cut in front of them.

They all died.

The incident was horrific enough, but the horror turned to outrage when the investigation showed the driver was an illegal alien who the state of California had licensed to be driving that massive truck on our highways.

Three people were dead thanks to a legally driving illegal via Gavin Newsom's sanctuary policies.

There is a federal law regarding this. The White House was quick to point out the driver's illegal status and that ICE had already issued a detainer for the man.

When word initially broke that the driver had crossed the border and been living in the US illegally since 2018, Newsom's 'brilliant' comms team, in an attempt to deflect from him, issued this disgusting and juvenile Xweet.

Besides the fact that people died, there were two problems with it.

First, it did not actually address what the White House team had said about the CDL license.

And comms teams should always double-check their facts before they hit send when trying to dunk on something specific, like a date.

Turns out, Mr Singh arrived long before '2018.'

Oh.

BRILLIANT

It explains a lot about California, too, doesn't it?
