Ah, Target.

Jumping jiminy, those woke Minneapolis knuckleheads can’t do anything right. Now, I could say that’s what happens when you make a deal with the devil, but it was only his fashion designer, not the actual Satan-guy. So it was probably just their own innate, arrogant stupidity rearing its ugly head again.

Did you know it’s Black History Month?

Target Corp does, and they have merchandise for people to buy to celebrate with. In some circles it might even be considered educational instead of merely kitschy, like Satanist designed t-shirts for ‘tween transgenders. But in this instance, “educational” is in the eye of the beholder, because, while the faces are historical black icons whom every American should recognize instantly, the names…well…missed the target. It was an educator who busted them.

Target pulls Black History Month product from shelves that mixed up three civil rights icons

Retail giant Target recently confirmed it was removing one of its Black History Month products from store shelves after finding out that that product misidentified three civil rights leaders.

After historically savvy users pointed out that Target’s Black History Month magnet book mixed up the three civil rights icons, W.E.B. Du Bois, Booker T. Washington and Carter G. Woodson, the store confirmed the blunder.

Target noted it was removing the items from shelves and letting the product’s producers know about the mistake.

For all the nay-saying and evil on TikTok, once in a blue moon something good comes flying out of that cesspool, and this lady’s video was it. A teacher who knows her stuff, called out the errors immediately, and even – music to my ears – pronounced “ASAP” correctly instead of saying each letter when she said Target needed to pull these things like now.

Well done, ma’am! We need more teachers like that. More teachers who won’t let the wrong things slide.

…In a follow-up video, she shared that she is a U.S. history teacher and that she did not want the errors to go unnoticed.

“I was not going to let that slide for my 200 students and I was not going to let that slide for my two babies who I am responsible (for) teaching,” she said.

Target has to be wondering what hit them and when things are going to turn around. Good luck with that. In the meantime, out comes the shepard’s shepherd’s hook for the little picture books.

Target is yanking a Black History Month item from its stores and website after a TikTok user pointed out that it mixes up the images and names of Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. Du Bois and Carter G. Woodson.

“We will no longer be selling this product in stores or online,” the Minneapolis-based retailer said in a statement. “We’ve also ensured the product’s publisher is aware of the errors.”

So, there we have it in a nutshell. Another awkward Target moment in the sun, and another win for a good EDUCATION thanks to dedicated teachers who know their stuff and aren’t afraid to use it.
