All Senate Dems Vote No on Amendment to Prevent Taxpayer Dollars Spent on Migrant Flights

Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) introduced an amendment on Friday to bar taxpayer funds from paying for illegal alien flights around the United States. The senator posted on X (formerly Twitter) in the early hours of Saturday morning that every Democrat senator voted against his amendment.

Hagerty noted that it is reported that 320,000 people have been flown in from other countries into Blue City airports. These are secret flights that have mostly been left unreported. A few flights were reported here and there in 2021 when the program began. Then the reporting stopped. Now the flights are back in the news.

"Tonight every single Senate Democrat voted against my amendment that would stop Biden Admin from using taxpayer dollars to charter flights for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from their countries directly to American towns to be resettled," Republican Tennessee Sen. Bill Hagerty tweeted early Saturday morning.

"Indefensible," he added.

Last week Hagerty said that he would file an amendment to the appropriations bill that would "prohibit federal funds from being used to secretly fly illegal aliens from other nations directly into states across the country."

Hagerty's amendment was in response to news stories in recent news cycles that the Biden administration flew an estimated 320,000 illegal immigrants from their home nations to the U.S. in 2023. Americans are not supportive of secret migrant flights.

"Let me cut through the procedural language here. I’m bringing forward a vote on a very simple question: Do you support American taxpayer dollars being used to fly illegal aliens into the United States from places like Venezuela and Haiti, into America to be settled in towns and cities near you? If so, then vote against me. Vote ‘no’ to preserve the practice of using taxpayer dollars to charter planes that move and import thousands of illegal aliens into your states," Hagerty said Friday on the floor of the Senate.

It's a simple question. All Senate Democrats answered incorrectly. They are perfectly fine with American taxpayers being on the hook for air travel expenses for non-citizens to fly into the United States and settle in communities across the country.

Why would it be that Democrats support such a bad policy? Could it be because the Census has been allowed to count illegal aliens? Yes. I think so. They move into communities and increase the voting population in  Congressional districts. They have been a factor in adding Congressional districts, too. This is the plan for Democrats. The open border and easy path to America for immigrants, whether they apply to fly in from Central and South America or illegally cross the southern border, is how Democrats increase voting numbers for their candidates. Cynical? Maybe. What else would be the reason? It's been reported that every Congressional district in the United States has been affected by the Biden border crisis and how DHS is moving illegal aliens around the country.

Senator Hagerty is right - the actions of the Democrats are indefensible. The vote in the Senate was  51-47. None of the Republican senators voted no. He also had an amendment that banned counting illegal aliens in allocating House seats and electoral votes. It, too, failed.

Democrats are happy to do Biden's bidding because they think it will pay off for them politically. They want blanket amnesty for all illegal aliens and then they will get their future voters. Believe them when they tell you how they are. The Biden border crisis is deliberate. Democrats are fine with it.
