It cannot be overstated just how lousy of a speaker Kamala Harris is. Always. She’s become known for her expertise in tossing a word salad every time she speaks. Did you notice that Kamala appears 13 times in Joe Biden’s video announcing his decision to run for reelection? The video was three minutes long and she didn’t speak a single word.

Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours.

That wasn’t an oversight. That was deliberate. No one can trust that she is going to sound like she knows what she is saying. Joe Biden is bad enough, and fortunately, he didn’t bust out the creepy old man voice, but there was no appetite for Kamala’s word salad in that video.

Speaking of that video, what jumps out at the viewer is that it begins with the riot at the Capitol and as it goes on, there is no mention of his list of successes accomplished during his first term in office. There are none, after all, so that isn’t really a surprise. I thought, though, that he would make up some stuff, as a career politician can do at the drop of a hat. His video was more about trashing Republicans and MAGA than anything else. He threw around words like freedom and democracy but all politicians do that. His nod to everyone working together to accomplish good things falls on deaf ears. He said that in 2019 and we know how that all played out. He promised a return to normal and uniting the country. Yet, he is easily the most divisive president I can remember.

So, Kamala, as it turns out, is a drag on the ticket. All that happy talk about the Biden-Harris administration and giving her equal billing with Biden doesn’t impress voters. Her approval rating is even lower than his. Biden has delegated several areas in his agenda to her and she has done nothing of note. Instead of focusing on the Biden border crisis, she travels around the country to lecture about abortion and voting rights. She tells her audiences that those evil Republicans are taking all their rights away. She was on a tear Tuesday at her alma mater, Howard University.

“These extremist so-called leaders would dare to tell us what is in our own best interest. Well I say, I trust the women of America. I trust the people of America,” Harris said to the crowd. “So don’t get in our way because if you do, we’re going to stand up, we’re going to organize and we’re going to speak up and we’re going to say we’re not having that, we’re not playing that!”

“They’re also saying they’re going to ban abortion. Six weeks into a pregnancy? Well, clearly most of them don’t even know how a woman’s body works because most women don’t even know they’re pregnant at that stage of a pregnancy,” Harris said to a raucous applause.

It was noted that she grabbed the microphone as she was speaking and walked around the stage as she ranted about abortion. Her aides said she had an outline on the podium but most of her 20-minute speech was improvised. She is known for not preparing for speeches and doesn’t bother to use the research her staff provides. She delivered her rant with an odd cadence. It was a lot like when Hillary Clinton recited an old spiritual during a speech at a black church in Selma, Alabama, telling them, “I don’t feel no ways tired…” And, it was a lot like how Barack Obama sounded when he wanted to sound like he was from the ‘hood, though he grew up in comfortable privilege.

Here’s a big heaping serving of word salad:

“So, I think it’s very important, as you have heard from so many incredible leaders, for us at every moment in time — and certainly this one — to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past but the future,” Harris said during the event at Howard University, her alma mater.

She accused Republicans of having a national agenda of restricting abortion, voting rights, and LGBTQ rights. Like Joe Biden, she lobs criticism and insults but does not offer examples.

Her speech at Howard University was her first since the reelection campaign was launched.

The Biden White House is concerned about Kamala dragging down the ticket in 2024. Senior adviser Anita Dunn is directing staff members to schedule more events for Kamala. Maybe Kamala should just go hide in a basement as Joe does. No one expects much from her. She repeats herself when she is delivering a speech. They are looking to revamp Kamala’s profile again. How many do-overs does she get? She doesn’t improve. She doesn’t speak better or make sense. He keeps repeating sentences and words over and over again.

Something we all have to remember is that Kamala is one heartbeat away from being the most powerful leader on earth. Think about that. It’s scary enough with Joe Biden in that position. It’s hard to imagine cacklin’ Kamala taking over if something happens with Basement Biden. That is the stuff of which nightmares are made.
