Interesting, but perhaps ill-advised. Schneider would almost certainly fall into the Sullivan category of a 'public person,' which means he will have to show 'actual malice' -- ie, the producers knew their claims were false but ran them anyway. Not having seen the docuseries myself, I can't speak to how Schneider was portrayed. The media coverage of the series seems to have consistently distinguished between allegations of a toxic workplace created by Schneider -- to which he's admitted -- and the sexual abuse by others, however. 

A defamation lawsuit will only drag all of this out for years for Schneider, and almost certainly for not much benefit even if he wins a technical verdict. For instance: How much good did Jesse Ventura really get by suing the widow of American Sniper Chris Kyle over a description of an argument in a bar? He won the judgment and was almost universally scorned for picking on a grieving widow, especially (I heard) among the SEAL community of which Ventura was a part.
