Welcome to our VIP feature for Hot Air as well as a members-only show in the Hughniverse! Duane Patterson and I now are doing a Week in Review show for Friday evenings, exclusive to members in both platforms. Duane has been the Generalissimo behind the Hugh Hewitt Show for more than two decades, and we have partnered on weekly commentary since 2007.
What stories topped your priority lists this week? Duane and I start the show off by discussing milestones – his 60th birthday and my 23rd blogiversary. We had a great party for Duane last week, and I semi-surprised him by showing up. We talk about our life journeys, the privilege of our long runs in politics and conservative media, and a couple of our rake-steps, too. Hope you enjoy that discussion!
We then move to the story of the week: the miraculous outcome in the FlyDubai hijacking. We have plenty of questions about that too, though, including how many people were involved in this attempted terror attack. Did Iran plant a "sleeper" pilot in FlyDubai? If so, how many more may there be?
That brings us to the latest in the Iran war, where the IRGC is about to run out of the little revenue they have left. Insurrection actions are increasing while the crude flow through the Strait of Hormuz returns to pre-war levels, but crude is not the whole story either. Will Europe start unlocking strategic reserves of diesel to avoid a US embargo?
Be sure to watch it all, and extend the conversation in the comments!
