Isn't it amazing how the Protection Racket Media has taken a sudden interest in cognitive disability in Washington DC? And isn't it amazing what qualifies as symptoms these days?
For instance, Joe Biden being bullied by the Easter Bunny, repeatedly losing his train of thought in public, and literally falling down didn't alarm the Philadelphia Inquirer. However, John Fetterman standing up to teachers unions and Hamasniks sent up red flags on the senator's competence, mainly fueled by anonymous "former staffers":
The meeting started off normally enough, with representatives from Pennsylvania’s largest teachers union thanking Sen. John Fetterman for defending public education.
But as the teachers from the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Education Association pressed Fetterman to do more to push back on federal education cuts, he grew frustrated and his tone shifted, according to two sources familiar with the May 1 conversation. Fetterman, a 6-foot-8 former college offensive tackle, started yelling at the group of five union representatives, asking what they wanted from him as he banged his fists on the table. ...
Half a dozen former Fetterman staffers who spoke to The Inquirer on the condition of anonymity, for fear of career repercussions working in Democratic politics, said Fetterman isn’t doing the basic job of a U.S. senator. The former staffers described a frequently absent senator, spending many hours on the Hill alone in his office, avoiding colleagues or meetings.
Come on, man. How many stories has the Inquirer run on a truly absentee senator named Bernie Sanders? He's been flying to "four or five events a week" on private jets for the last several weeks on his "Fight the Oligarchy" tour rather than do his job in Washington DC. At least Fetterman stays on Capitol Hill, where his job actually is, and represents his Pennsylvania constituents in the upper chamber.
But even more to the point -- how many stories did the Inquirer run on Joe Biden's obvious cognitive decline over the last four years? To answer that question, I ran a Bing search for "Biden cognitive" for the Inquirer site with no date parameters or other filters. It returned only 60 hits, most of which came after the June 2024 debate that blew apart the media's cover-up of the issue most voters could plainly see. In fact, the majority of these aren't even on topic at all, and it appears most of the articles over the past few months that include "Biden" and "cognitive" are actually about Donald Trump. (The same is true for a similar search run on "Biden dementia," which returned 53 hits from inquirer.com.)
The only pertinent link from before June 2024 was published in July 2021. In an opinion column, Will Bunch decried Republican warnings about Biden's cognition, and declared that only Biden's "heart" mattered. Not one single news reporter bothered to report on Biden's decline, not even when it became evident in Biden's strange non-sequiturs in response to George Stephanopoulos about the disaster in Kabul the next month, Not to mention, of course, the April 2022 Easter Bunny intervention that seems a lot more indicative of trouble than arguing with union officials in a meeting.
And of course. having a president with a cognitive crisis is much more serious than having one of 100 senators struggling to keep up, even assuming that's the case. Senators only run their own offices, not critical functions within the executive branch. Yet the Inquirer -- along with the rest of the Protection Racket Media -- took no interest in that issue before the debate, and not much after it either, as the links show. Not once did the Inquirer focus on these questions regarding Biden:
- Fitness for office at the moment
- Decision to run for a second term while clearly suffering from cognitive incapacity
- Who really made the decisions in the White House
- Who knew about Biden's unfitness, and why didn't they speak up
They're still not doing any reporting on the last two points about Biden. Instead, the Inquirer is floating gripes from disgruntled former aides about Fetterman for not rolllng over for teachers unions and pro-Hamas activists. It's an utter disgrace, and unfortunately, the Inquirer is much more the norm than the exception in the Protection Racket Media.
Speaking of which ... this is just painful:
🚨BRUTAL: Joe Biden gets asked about the reporting that has detailed his devastating cognitive decline — His answer was NOT GOOD.
