šØBREAKING: Kamala Harris instantly seizes upon an already DEBUNKED hoax from the Atlantic and weaponizes it to attack Donald Trump:

"Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler, the man who is responsible for the death of six million Jews."
They're going to get Trump killed. Pray. pic.twitter.com/OBKAWedqqf

Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy told The Tennessee Star on Wednesday that Vice President Kamala Harris must apologize after she fanned the āflames of political violenceā in her remarks, delivered earlier that day from the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., where she compared former President Donald Trump to genocidal dictator Adolf Hitler.
Ramaswamy described Harrisā speech as āinsaneā and āirresponsibleā in a statement provided exclusively to The Star.
āComparing Trump to āHitlerā is not only insane, itās irresponsible given the near-tragedies weāve seen in recent months,ā said Ramaswamy, alluding to the multiple confirmed attempts to assassinate Trump.
Ed: It's desperation. And yes, it's insane.

I'm sorry, am I supposed to now believe that Trump is a Hitlerian Nazi? Because on a personal level, I have some questions. pic.twitter.com/qd1Oi2ljpk

On the other side, you have Kamala, who rarely mixes with the public, and often looks awkward when she does. She is the Queen of Cringe, as her attempts at humour typically fall flat. The latest example is the lame ācomedyā video she submitted to the Al Smith charity dinner (the very fact that she broke tradition and failed to appear in person at the event evinced her fear of interacting in public). On the day after Trumpās McDonaldās appearance, Harris held a town-hall event that was entirely scripted and did not allow audience participation. When one voter asked, āAre we going to be able to ask a question?ā, the host, Maria Shriver, said, āYouāre not, unfortunately. We have some predetermined questions.ā
Unable to connect with voters on the grounds of ideas or personality, Harris is left with āat least Iām not Hitlerā. But the effectiveness of that pitch this year is very much in doubt. Not only is the talk of Trumpās fascistic tendencies overblown ā it is also tired.

Noting this could be politically unhelpful to Harris, a former Biden admin official texts me: āwe gotta lock Joe up.ā https://t.co/juzeUrhM1H

Ed: Gee, isn't this ... fascist? Especially from a president whose DoJ is pursuing multiple cases to actually ACTUALLY lock Trump up?

Given her concern that Trump is planning a Holocaust, perhaps Kamala Harris should finally meet with Jewish students whoāve repeatedly been told by their classmates to āgo back to Poland,ā have had swastika drawn outside their dorms, and been targeted for their faith? pic.twitter.com/yA20iyszcm

Ed: She's too busy letting everyone know that the claim that Israel is committing genocide is a real thing.

Now, we have two anonymous sources telling us that Trump refused to pay for the funeral of a murdered Army private. By now, one hopes most people understand how the game works. Goldberg published a non-falsifiable October surprise. Other outlets, unlikely to run wholly uncorroborated claims themselves, can spread the smear without verification. They did this to Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Theyāre going to keep doing it.
Barely anyone trusts journalists anymore. This is one reason why.
Ed: Among many.

It is too late to expect Trump to speak with precision and prudence. As the Times itself notes, many of his supporters treat his more flamboyant pronouncements as theater, not as serious policy. Oneās partiality in either direction also depends on oneās assumptions. Conservatives are as alarmed by leftistsā rhetoric as Democrats and other leftists are about Trumpās. We give our side the benefit of the doubt but hear the worst in the other sideās excesses.
But the āTrump wants to hunt down his opponentsā meme is beyond ordinary partisan filtering. It speaks to the dishonesty that has characterized the mediaās approach to the Trump phenomenon from the beginning. It is that dishonesty, not Trumpās worldview, that is becoming increasingly dark and that threatens the possibility of civil coexistence.

Iāve avoided commenting on intra-staff leaks or rumors or even lies as it relates to my time at the White House but General Kellyās comments regarding President Trump are too egregious to ignore. I was with each of them more than most, and his commentary is *patently false.* pic.twitter.com/T167w9GSv1
