NARN, the Loyal Opposition Edition

The Northern Alliance Radio Network will be on the air today, with our six-hour-long broadcast schedule starting at 11 am CT. The first two hours features Power Line’s John Hinderaker and Chad and Brian from Fraters Libertas. Mitch and I hit the airwaves for the second shift from 1-3 pm CT, and King Banaian and Michael Broadkorb have The Final Word from 3-5. If you’re in the Twin Cities, you can hear us on AM 1280 The Patriot, or on the station’s Internet stream if you’re outside of the broadcast area.

Today, Mitch will interview Mayor R. T. Rybak of Minneapolis, a staunch Democrat but the only local Democrat to take Mitch up on his offer for a polite, respectful debate on the issues. I’m not sure which is more noteworthy — Mayor Rybak agreeing to appear on The Patriot, or Mitch being polite and respectful! Tune in to have your breath taken away in either case.

I’ll be out today, celebrating the college graduation of my wonderful daughter-in-law this morning and afternoon. Next Friday, my son will also graduate from the university and enter the graduate school program in math and physics while teaching classes at the U. It’s a proud week for the Morrissey and McDonald families; I’ll be writing more and posting pictures later today.

Update: King’s name is in the boilerplate for the first paragraph, but he won’t be on for the next couple of weeks.  He is improving and may get released from the hospital as early as today — but he won’t be making the hour-plus drive to The Patriot for while.
