Socialism Is the Ideology of the Failure

Any sane person, of whom there are apparently far too few these days, knows that socialism is an ideology that leads inevitably to failure.

But fewer, even sane, people understand that socialism is the ideology most attractive to people who are failures. Many think socialists are just people mistaken about how best to achieve a just and prosperous society, and that their goal is for everybody to be happy, healthy, and prosperous.

Nope. That may be true for some people, but for them it is mostly a phase they go through before they gain experience with the whys and wherefores of how life works in the real world. Hardcore socialists are, for the most part, failures in life looking for ways to get back at the world and harm others.

Nietzsche understood the psychology behind the modern left, which ultimately is driven by a desire to tear things down. It's why they are so in love with revolution, political violence, celebrate the death of people they dislike, and are obsessed with victimhood. He called it the "slave revolt," which is an ugly phrase, but has more than a little truth in it.

I followed with interest Stu Smith's voyage into the heart of the beast at the beginning of this month, when he posted from his time at the Socialism 2026 conference. There were so many clips that grabbed my attention, and I could spend endless hours riffing off of them, but this one in particular caught my eye because it seemed to capture so much of what is wrong with socialists in one bit.

🚨 “The More Dysgenic, the Better”: Beatrice Adler-Bolton Says the Left Must Give Up the “Fantasy of Being Fitter Than the Fascists”

At Socialism 2026, Adler-Bolton argues that “fitness is a measure of relative disposability under capitalism” and says the goal should not be to become “more useful to the ruling order.”

She says the left should not try to beat fascists “at their own game” by becoming “fitter, more eugenic.”

“In fact, the more dysgenic, the better, I think.”

She closes by arguing that revolution is not “a contest between optimized and properly prepared bodies” and that the very idea is itself fascist.

You may have noticed the recent celebration of dysgenics, whether it is the fat liberation movement, the classification of fitness as "right wing," the obsessive search for illnesses to claim as one's own, the victimhood race, and the rapid explosion of people who embrace an identity of being "disabled."

On the one hand, some of this is just grifting, since it is natural and right for us to be concerned with helping the genuinely disabled, and some people are just trying to latch onto our impulses to be decent human beings and exploit that.

But for many, the idea of being a victim and disabled is a core part of their identity, and indeed the one they define themselves by.

Being dysgenic — unfit—is their identity.

🚨 Socialism 2026 is now defining “health fascism,” and yes, Make America Healthy Again is apparently part of it.

Beatrice Adler-Bolton, co-host of the left-wing Death Panel podcast, says “health fascism” is not simply bad or overly harsh health policy. She defines it as a political logic in which “health, fitness, productivity, and bodily normalcy” become measures of “moral worth and political belonging.”

Under this framework, she says fatness, illness, disability, “racialized difference,” dependency, and even perceived “degeneracy” are treated as evidence of “social rot” that needs to be excised.

And then she gets to MAHA.

“The Make America Healthy Again project makes this quite explicit,” Adler-Bolton says, arguing that MAHA draws on “eugenic, anti-Black, anti-fat, ableist, racist, productivist traditions.”

And stick around. We are nowhere near done with Beatrice Adler-Bolton.

This is a particularly Left-wing phenomenon. People who seek out the status of being victims and even dive in headfirst.

It sounds insane, and it is, but this is a real phenomenon, and you can see it when you scan the crowds at any left-wing protest or riot. There are so many people who are, by intention, ugly and unfit.

Watch any left-wing political convention, and people will pop up to expound on their various allergies, disabilities, and the accommodations they can demand because they are abnormal and incapable of functioning normally.

🚨 At Socialism 2026, Beatrice Adler-Bolton invokes Hamas founder Ahmed Yassin as a model for understanding disabled revolutionaries.

“Ahmed Yassin, who was an important revolutionary Palestinian leader and one of the founders and early leaders of Hamas, was paralyzed at 16. He was quadriplegic.”

She then runs through Che Guevara, Mao, Lenin, Trotsky, Ho Chi Minh, and others before concluding...

“Our debilitated, imperfect bodies are far more threatening to power than we are led to believe.”

Normal people, when they want to help somebody who is disabled in some way, go to great lengths to help them live as normal a life as possible. We don't celebrate their disability; we help them overcome it, and it is often inspiring to see people overcome challenges, which makes us wonder whether we could do the same.

Having a disability is not a character flaw; it is an obstacle to overcome, and when people do, it is sometimes almost superhuman.

Leftism, though, often strives for the opposite. To take the healthy and make it lame. To take the person who is down on their luck and make them dependent. To take the addicted and feed them drugs. To enable squalor and celebrate it. It is normal life they hate so much.

🚨 Da’Shaun L. Harrison at Socialism 2026 argues that the political deployment of GLP-1 drugs is “fascistic” because they exist in “a world fixated on genociding fat people.”

“The political deployment of GLP-1s is fascistic, not because individuals take them, but because the conditions under which they become necessary are shaped by a world fixated on genociding fat people.”

And to explain why that is supposedly fascistic, Harrison turns to Frantz Fanon and “Black flesh under colonial surveillance.”

If GLP-1s are already “body fascism,” the dual and triple agonists are going to require an entirely new theoretical vocabulary.

The old liberalism that embraced social insurance was not focused on that. In principle, at least, it was about a hand up, not a handout. We could argue endlessly about whether the programs worked — mostly they didn't — but the idea, at least for their supporters, was to help people move from poverty to prosperity, from dependence to self-sufficiency.

Functionally, these programs almost never worked this way, but the intention was there.

Socialism, though, is all about making people small and weak, except those who lead them, who accumulate power. You put a Mamdani at the top to lead the blue-haired masses. That's why socialist and communist regimes tend to create strongmen while leading weak men defined by their weakness.

Over the past decade, we have seen an explosion of both socialism and the embrace of illness, obesity, disability, fragility, and ugliness of all kinds. Lizzo was stunning and brave when she was fat and naked, and Sydney Sweeney is oppression in the flesh because she is fit and beautiful.

Celebrating beauty and fitness does not mean hating those of us who don't fit the ideal. But celebrating dysgenics obviously means hatred of the good and the beautiful.

That is at the heart of today's socialist movement.

Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has been infected by socialism, and it's spreading FAST. Democrats are claiming there's nothing to worry about, but we know the truth.
