I'm still plowing through it, but I ran across a thread on X (I am giving in, dammit, and referring to Twitter as X now) with clips from Marc Andreessen's interview on Joe Rogan, and it is a banger.
Andreessen is the guy who originally wrote Mosaic, the first web browser, founded Netscape, became a zillionaire, and now is a startup tech investor in Silicon Valley.
A Democrat in good standing until recently, he supported every Democrat who ran for president, from Bill Clinton to Hillary Clinton, and only became a Trump supporter very recently. It was his experience with the Biden administration and the increasingly tyrannical top-down economic and political bullying that drove him to Trump. It's a path a number of Silicon Valley tech types have taken over the past couple of years.
On Rogan, he explains why, and it's scary if not surprising. I have been saying for quite a while that a Chinese-style social credit system was coming to the United States, and Andreessen confirms that is exactly what was in store for us.
They’ve uncovered a new way to destroy companies:

30 tech founders were secretly debanked.
No warning. No explanation. No appeals.
Pure, silent government power. pic.twitter.com/iKPn9XmI82
Think about just these two facts. The government is picking the few winners of the AI race--almost certainly based on political considerations and with agreements to shape the AIs to the political preferences of the Democrats. Simultaneously debanking--with no explanation or appeal--entrepreneurs and companies at the whim of government officials. No accountability, total power.
Andreessen describes the growing political divide in Silicon Valley--one that mirrors the growing divide between the reality-based community and the people living in the Truman Show.
One Silicon Valley elite reads and repeats whatever The New York Times tells them to believe, regardless of whether it makes any sense, and another has diverse opinions and can exchange ideas.
"If you thought social media censorship was bad, AI control will be 1000x worse. It's going to be the control layer for everything:

Artificial intelligence is the key technology of the future, and if the transnational elite gets control over it as they have been working to do, whatever fears you have about totalitarian control will be shown to be overly optimistic about the future of freedom. It really will be Brave New World come alive. Big Brother will be the stick and a comfortable life of servitude is your carrot.
Cede control to the transnational elite and you can own nothing and be happy living in your 15-minute city.
If you have the time, the full podcast is a bit over three hours. If you don't, there are plenty of clips on X.
I am still plowing my way through the whole thing--I have been traveling for Thanksgiving with my family in Detroit, and 3 hours is quite a slog while packing, parking, flying, and getting settled. But it promises to be well worth the time investment.
UPDATE: Here's a discussion of the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau and how dangerous it is. The CFPB should never have been created, and should be crushed into oblivion.

Elon's response:
Delete CFPB. There are too many duplicative regulatory agencies.
