MAGA, Inc. has spent more attacking DeSantis than helping Republicans win elections

Donald Trump likes to portray himself as the Republicans’ secret weapon against the Democrats. His endorsements are magic, his leadership unerring, and his fearlessness the answer to our political woes.

Trump claims that he alone can save America, or in his parlance “Make America Great Again.”

The 2022 elections would beg to differ. Trump was deeply involved in choosing Senate candidates in particular, and many of us think that his choices doomed Republicans’ chances of taking the Senate. Dr. Oz, anyone? Herschel Walker? Blake Masters?

Hmm.

The National Review has a new article out about Trump’s SuperPAC MAGA, Inc. that gives you a good sense of Trump’s actual priorities, and they are exactly what you would expect: they have spent more money attacking Governor Ron DeSantis, who has yet to enter the presidential race (although he is likely to this week) than they spent promoting Trump Senate candidates in 2022.

Trump, who is the current frontrunner in the 2024 presidential race, has launched a series of attacks against DeSantis, who is expected to enter the race this week. MAGA Inc. has spent $15.3 million attacking the Republican governor and just $1,500 on supporting Trump.

In the 2022 midterms, the PAC spent $15 million to support Republican candidates in the key swing states of Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Ohio and Nevada. Republicans lost Senate races in four out of those five states, with only Ohio Republican J.D. Vance securing a win.

Yes, you have that right. If the US Senate were in Republican hands today the world would be a different and better place, and MAGA Inc. is wasting its money attacking the best governor in America because he doesn’t bend the knee to Trump.

MAGA, Inc. doesn’t even spend money promoting Trump. They, literally, have nothing positive to say. Attack, attack, attack. And not Biden, but a fellow Republican. Biden, apparently, ain’t so bad compared to Ron DeSanctimonious.

Trump signaled his fear of DeSantis by attacking him before the 2022 elections and has since praised Andrew Cuomo, Stacey Abrams, Gavin Newsom, and Charlie Crist as superior to DeSantis. Transgender sanctuary states, killing off granny in nursing homes, oily snake oil salesmen, and insanely leftist harridans are the good guys.

The guy who made Florida a free state by ignoring Anthony Fauci and fighting for children’s innocence is the bad guy on this list.

Trump’s acolytes clearly husbanded their resources in 2022 in order to have the money to produce an advertising blitz against DeSantis. If you think America is better off with a Democrat Senate, please say so. We need to know this so we can decide how perspicacious you are. That was the choice that MAGA, Inc. made, and it was a bad one. A truly destructive decision for which all Americans are paying a large price.

Do you know what MAGA, Inc. was formed to do in the first place?

Help Republicans in the midterms. You know, the ones everybody thought would be a red wave?

That didn’t work out so well. Now they are bringing their magic touch to the 2024 presidential election.

If you like how 2022 turned out, then listen to MAGA, Inc. They helped bring those results about.

If you want something different, like winning, then perhaps it is time to recognize that their magic touch is a duplicate of Jim Cramer’s. When they speak, do the opposite of what they advise.
