Holy CRAP. This is an ASTONISHING visual.

The running Fox commentary is saying that there are six people shot, two dead. And there are two floors (the 42st and 33rd) in the skyscraper that are locked down.

Reports are that the shooter went to specific offices on separate floors. He obviously was looking for individuals and knew where he was going. It just shrieks targeted.

NYPD didn't get him. According to sources, the gunman shot himself on the 33rd floor of the office building he went into.

Reportedly, two additional people have been taken into custody in relation to the shootings at the Park Avenue building, which houses the NFL and Blackstone corporate headquarters..

Police are responding to an active shooter situation in Midtown on Monday evening.

On July 28 at around 6:40 p.m., police responded to 911 calls regarding shots fired at 345 Park Ave. According to Citizen, a man was shot in the back at the location and there are reports of others injured. One of the victims is reportedly a police officer in serious condition.

Two people were taken into custody at the scene, a man and a woman. The woman reportedly had a cut on her head and the man allegedly said, “Free Palestine, I’m not the active shooter!”

...At about 7 p.m., people began emerging from the Park Avenue building, which houses Blackstone and the NFL headquarters, their hands held high, many in tears as police escorted them to safety.

Due to police activity, New Yorkers are advised to stay clear of Park Avenue and 53rd Street, as well as East 52nd Street and Lexington Avenue. New Yorkers can expect traffic delays, road closures, and mass transit disruptions as a result of the emergency response.

Just nuts trying to get everyone out of a building that has thousands of people in it at any given time.

The report of the NYPD officer who was shot refers to the off-duty officer who was the security officer in the lobby of the building. Now Fox is saying two cops were shot and one has died. Aw, God bless him.

Confusion, confusion.

On the Fox broadcast, the NYPD is meticulously going over a luxury sedan in the middle of the street, as if trying to ascertain whether it's booby-trapped or not.

Speculation is a former employee, perhaps, as he knew exactly where he wanted to go and what elevator to use.

Good advice in the interim here - have a plan for your situation if something goes sideways.

The video of the NYPD officers hustling the woman they arrested down the sidewalk is really something. dramatic. They weren't taking any chances with her. As soon as I can find it I'll post it.

Beege ADDS: Found This: You get a good idea of the hustle from this still.

I sure hope they can get that building cleared and not find anyone else wounded or worse.

Our deepest condolences to the officer's family and we sure hope all the victims heal quickly.

The news outlets are just spinning their heels right now, so I'll wait to see what washes out in a while.

This is going to be interesting.

MORE: Some of those folks know how to use office furniture in a pinch.

So the Fox expert, Paul Mauro retired NYPD inspector, is also hearing from his sources the Las Vegas connection that is currently circulating on X and a retired LVPD Lt is confirming the same. Mauro also has heard there are five dead, with one wounded, which is also tracking with what I'm reading as an update, but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere by the authorities. It is absolutely ghastly if it's true.

And that the officer who was killed in the lobby was a female off-duty officer.

Beege MORE: Okay. The NBC News law correspondent is confident enough to break the name, so I will, too.

The Post.

Jeez.

...The NYP: “Authorities found a vehicle with Nevada plates registered to Tamura at the scene, sources said.”

“A photo obtained by The Post showed he had a concealed firearms permit from Las Vegas that expired in 2027.”

Tamura was a star running back in California and the swanky tower houses the NFL headquarters.

Sadly, the death toll rises. Damn his black heart.

An armed shooter attacked 345 Park Ave. in Manhattan, the tower housing Blackstone Inc.’s global headquarters and the National Football League among others, killing at least five people, according to a city official.

The suspected shooter is dead, three officials said. Victims include at least one police officer. At least two other people died at the tower.
