I'm gonna have to get a nitro prescription or something - I don't think my heart can take much more of...

...ALL THIS WINNING!!!

...Bondi is also directing the DOJ to identify all funding agreements with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that support illegals.

"On her first day leading the Justice Department, including orders to combat the weaponization of the legal system; make prosecutors seek the death penalty when appropriate; and work with the Department of Homeland Security to "completely eliminate" cartels and transnational criminal organizations," Fox reported.

HOLY CRAP

I have to tell you, never in my life have I seen cabinet secretaries roll into a job firing away.

Usually, it's like they get confirmed, they go out for congratulatory drinks, and then they wander into the new office the next day, maybe with a wife to measure the drapes.

Not the Trump cabinet.

It's as if every last one of them already had a day planner set up starting with:

__________________________

*Wednesday*

12:00 - Confirmation

12:30 -- Sworn In

12:40 - UNLEASH HELL

____________________________

And off they go - la lala lala lala - wreaking havoc.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

How lucky are we?

So my girl Pam gets herself sworn in after being confirmed last night and...

That's not an exaggeration.

Attorney General Pam Bondi moved swiftly Wednesday to marshal the Justice Department toward President Trump’s desire to investigate his past legal adversaries, opening a review of purported “weaponization” by law-enforcement agencies.

Shortly after her swearing in at the White House, Bondi issued a series of first-day memos that also called for the Justice Department’s career workforce to put aside any personal misgivings and bring “zealous advocacy” to the Trump administration.

Her flurry of orders is intended to quickly wipe away the policies of the Biden administration and put her own tough-on-crime stamp on the agency. She told prosecutors to seek the death penalty more often, give priority to combating drug trafficking, gang violence and illegal immigration and de-emphasize corporate enforcement and foreign influence that had been a focus of her Democratic predecessors.

It's also turned into a day for shutting off the money spigots to all sorts of truculent children. Sanctuary cities don't want to play by federal immigration rules and laws?

Then it can be safely assumed they won't need any federal monies that are contingent on cooperation with federal authorities and immigration enforcement.

President Donald Trump’s newly confirmed Attorney General Pam Bondi has directed the Department of Justice (DOJ) to halt federal funding to sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement agents.

The move from Bondi was one of her day-one directives and comes alongside a slate of policies and executive orders from the Trump administration as it seeks to secure the southern border and deport illegal aliens already present within the United States.

Trump alluded to plans to defund sanctuary cities in an interview with Fox News two days after he was inaugurated, stating that he “might have to” cut federal funding to cities that shield illegal aliens from deportation. A court ruled in Trump’s favor in 2020, finding that his DOJ was legally allowed to deny grants to cities that refused to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement agents.

Importantly, she's also directing Justice to 'investigate all jurisdictions that are impeding law enforcement' and 'prosecute when necessary.'

WWWWEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Was that a collective 'gulp' I just heard out of the Blue?

I mean, as the Daily Wire's piece points out, you've got whole states that have anti-ICE legislation loaded with plenty of governors and mayors who talk big smack.

...Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey said she would “absolutely not” assist with federal deportation efforts just days after ICE agents located and arrested multiple illegal aliens who are accused of raping children.

Denver’s Democrat Mayor Mike Johnston indicated that he would use police to keep federal immigration enforcement agents out of the city. “More than us having DPD stationed at the county line to keep them out, you would have 50,000 Denverites there,” Johnston said.

Bondi also went after the conscientious objector frame of mind that seems to infect the Department of Justice any time there is a Trump presidency.

No more, she said. Or you'll be looking for a new job.

...With another memo, Bondi made clear that serving in the Justice Department would mean “vigorously defending” Trump administration policies

“The discretion afforded Department attorneys entrusted with those responsibilities does not include latitude to substitute personal political views or judgments for those that prevailed in the election,” one of the memos stated.

There would be no room, she said, for Justice Department officials refusing to advance good-faith arguments by declining to sign briefs or appear in court. When Justice Department lawyers take such steps, she said, “it undermines the constitutional order and deprives the president of the benefit of his lawyers.”

She threatened discipline and “potentially termination” for any Justice Department lawyer who did so based on personal political views or judgments.

LIKE A BOSS

And then there's the pending establishment of Bondi's Weaponization Working Group.

...Bondi is set to establish the "Weaponization Working Group," which will review the activities of all law enforcement agencies over the past four years to identify instances of "politicized justice."

The working group's first reviews will include prosecutions against Trump led by former Special Counsel Jack Smith; Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg; and New York Attorney General Letitia James, who brought the civil fraud case against Trump and his family.

The working group will also review any potential prosecutorial abuse regarding Jan. 6, 2021; the FBI's targeting of Catholic Americans; the Justice Department's targeting of parents at school board meetings; and abuses of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances, or FACE, Act.

Well. Okay, then, Attorney General of the United States. It all sounds good - almost like promises are being kept yet again.

Pride - what a feeling.
