HOLY SMOKING FUEL DEPOT
There were some BIG BADDA BOOMS lighting up power stations and fuel depots near the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah earlier today [Beege sends: I wrote this Saturday afternoon].

The port is a staging area for lots of Houthi shooty mischief.
Probably won't be for a while after this.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of criminals.
BREAKING:
— Visegrád 24 (@visegrad24) July 20, 2024
2 days ago, the Houthis in Yemen carried out their first ever deadly drone attack against Israel.
Now, Israel has answered with their first ever missile strikes against the Houthis.
The largest port of Yemen is now completely engulfed in flames. pic.twitter.com/qajK442Sk9
For the first few hours of the conflagration, there were conflicting reports that it had either been the Israelis or some component of the American-led "Operation Prosperity Guardian." But that was too much to hope for, with our toothless commander-in-chief refusing to act when he had basically every ship in the Med at his command, and all the firepower shifted in Europe and still did bupkiss. While hamstringing the Israelis at every turn.
Had to be them. Before long, the IDF confirmed that the Israeli Air Force was behind the big-time payback for Friday's Houthi drone attack on downtown Tel Aviv, in which an Israeli citizen was killed.
The Iranian-backed thugs played FA with the wrong people and FO the long-range, reach-out-and-touch-you way.
The strike in Yemen demonstrates Israel's capability to conduct long-range operations with surprise. Israel aims to exact a toll on the Houthis following their attacks since the war's outset, reportedly targeting civilian infrastructure as well as military sites after a drone hit buildings in Tel Aviv.
For the last 9 month the Houties were attacking Israel with 220+ Cruise missiles and drones.

After Friday’s attack on Tel Aviv, when for the first time the Houthis killed an Israeli citizen, we struck back.
Today we said- enough is enough.

I'm assuming the Houthis felt they were relatively safe sending their little bomb buzzsaw to Israel. After all, the Jewish homeland is a good long way away, and it was just a little bomb.
But that was a serious miscalculation on their part, probably induced by the relative impunity they've been operating with in the region over the course of almost a year.
...In a video statement posted on X, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that, "The port we attacked is not an innocent port. It was used for military purposes; it was used as an entry point for deadly weapons supplied to the Houthis by Iran." Netanyahu, who is due to address Congress next week, congratulated the IDF and Air Force for the operation and warned: "I have a message for Israel's enemies: don't misunderstand us. We will protect ourselves in every way, on every front. Anyone who harms us will pay a very heavy price for his aggression."
Netanyahu noted that the port was over 1000 miles away from Israel's borders, saying "It makes it clear to our enemies that there is no place that the long arm of the State of Israel will not reach."
🚨 Breaking: In response to the Yemeni drone attack on Tel Aviv, dozens of military sites in Yemen are being attacked by Israeli 🇮🇱 planes right now 👇

Fun fact: The distance between Israel and Yemen is greater than the distance between Israel and Iran… pic.twitter.com/JZc2UUDaCZ
This sincere smack is also a timely warning to Iran, who, in the words of our execrable and inept Secretary of State, will have a nuclear weapon that Joe Biden basically paid for *checks notes* IN TWO OR THREE WEEKS.
JUST IN: U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken says Iran is "probably one or two weeks away" from getting their hands on a nuclear weapon.

I hope the Israelis saved some bombs because they're about our only hope.
Seriously, they are. The administration couldn't get a "We had nothing to do with it" message out fast enough.
...A National Security Council spokesperson told Fox News that the U.S. was not involved in the strikes. "We’ve been in regular and ongoing contact with the Israelis following the strike in Tel Aviv that killed an Israeli civilian on Friday morning. We fully recognize and acknowledge Israel’s right to self-defense. The United States was not involved in today’s strikes in Yemen, and we did not coordinate or assist Israel with the strikes. We refer you to the Israelis for more information."
Have you all seen the footage of the drone as it came in over the water and impacted near the US Embassy, which was supposedly its target?

A system glitch allowed this Iranian drone to reach a residential target in Tel Aviv not far from the U.S. Embassy.

I'm so glad the US is so mature, we can't let things like this upset us even when we're the target.
It has been confirmed that tonight's explosion in Tel Aviv was from a drone attack targeting the US Consulate (the Embassy is in Jerusalem). In the first video, you can hear the sound of an engine before the explosion. The white building on the left is the Consulate.

They shouldn't have sent that f*cking drone to Tel Aviv...

What exactly ARE WE 'DOING'?
God willing Trump prevails in November, I just want the world to survive until January so he can take the wheel.
All bets are off otherwise.
