I didn’t say “at heart” because I’m not convinced there are any beating organs in those frozen chest cavities.

I am, of course, talking about Davos attendees (Dah-VŌS as the frightening Teutonic ice queen Von Der Leyen pronounces it) at their World Economic Forum (WEF) enclave this week.

Besides the usual focusing on indigenous performance art, and indulging the antics of loons who want to promote something called “ecocide” to criminalize farming, fishing, etc…

I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed Mary Chastain’s report on Argentine President Javier Milei, who gave an amazing, pro-freedom speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

However, he appears to be an island of reason in a sea of insanity. Let me introduce you to one of the other speakers: Jojo Mehta, the Founder of Stop Ecocide, who wants to criminalize the side effects of farming, fishing, and energy production.

…one recent development in the world seems to have the elite invitees’ feathers ruffled. Their grip on awe-inspiring, unquestionable sagacity is slipping, and it worries them. No longer are the edicts, pronouncements, and worthless agreements among delegates and luminaries – laboriously hammered out and scribed by their subordinates to be issued with all the pomp and circumstance of an imperial court – breathlessly awaited, less mind followed by world-wide frantic scrambling to enact.

A fair portion of the rational world is looking this this pretentious, creepy clique of over-the-top Bond bad guys, and wondering why anyone gave a flying Fritz about the unelected party-going WEF to begin with.

For instance – Ms. Von Der Leyen. A miserable failure of a German politician who, in the classic fashion, has failed steadily upward through the European Union hierarchy to become President of the European Commission.

This year in Dah-VŌS, she’s not harping on the planet being saved as much as she’s sweating saving their schweet New World Order gig.

And what’s the threat that she and the others see, which she believes will be mollified with “rebuilding trust” lip-service, even as she declares war on it?

Ursula and her colleagues have spent decades becoming specialists in a world that is fading from view.

Managing the narrative, lying the right lies, eating well, and flying high.

It’s not conflict or climate. It is disinformation and misinformation.

She practically spits the words out in disgust.

But the frustration level for the snap o’ the finger crowd has to be off the charts. They’ve been unable to throttle the reopening of Elon Musk’s X through threats fair or foul, their ESG corporate hammer is falling by the wayside…

Somehow, I don’t think he – or others like Elon – are falling for it if so. I can’t imagine who else she’s referring to.
