Elon: "The reality is this is an open border for all of Earth"

There are some questions about their fellow Americans which cannot be answered by mere mortals, for they defy explanation.

The world’s richest man and immigrant to the United States himself, Elon Musk, decided to take a trip to the southern border, see for himself just what was going on, wondering why he wasn’t seeing more about it from “legacy media.” That comment raised hackles from the same “legacy media,” and had one online outlet retorting with a feeble “Hey, they did a couple!” reflexive defense.

…That came after he shared videos of migrants crossing the border and questioned why there was “almost no legacy media coverage of this.” Reuters, The New York Times, and CNN are among the several outlets that have published reports on Eagle Pass.

Musk’s plan was to arrive in Eagle Pass, TX – ground zero at the moment for the human deluge pouring over the border – and livestream what he found and was told as he did so. An “unfiltered” view, as he put it, but you’d expect no less. He pretty much lives life unfiltered.

…”Elon here. I’m at Eagle Pass. Just arrived, and we are just going to go around and talk to the major officials and law enforcement whatnot that are here,” Musk said during a Thursday livestream on X, previously known as Twitter.

Musk said in his livestream that he was there to “eyeball the situation” and to “get a sense for what’s going on” at the Texan city. The livestream has, at press time, been viewed more than 8.1 million times.

“This is real-time, unfiltered. There’s no pre-conditions, no nothing. What you see is what I see,” Musk continued.

…”As an immigrant to the United States, I’m extremely pro-immigrant,” Musk said. “I believe that we need a greatly expanded legal immigration system and that we should let anyone in the country, who is hardworking and honest and will be a contributor to the United States.”

“By the same token, we should also not be allowing people in the country if they are breaking the law. That doesn’t make sense,” Musk added.

Being Elon with his massive following, the “unfiltered” view had a hiccup with a technical glitch that interrupted his livestream after the first few minutes. The boss had to send a terse little message back to X HQ to get things up and running again, like…NOW.

…But Musk’s attempt to “engage in citizen journalism” was tempered by X’s technical problems. He began the livestream by saying: “Let’s just make sure this thing’s working first.”

He discussed immigration for about four minutes before the stream hit a snag and froze. “Let’s see if this is still working,” he said. “I was a bit worried so many people might go on it that it crashes.” The livestream had about 5 million viewers.

According to NYT reporter Ryan Mac, Musk then sent an abrupt email to everyone at X: “Please fix this.”

And he later joked that the cellphone coverage was so spotty, they needed Starlink down there to help out with the signal.

Representative Tony Gonzales, who represents the area in Congress, was Musk’s companion for much of the tour, along with the mayor of Eagle Pass. Musk managed to upload a 15 minute video in which Gonzales gives him the breakdown of the figures of the situation – the overwhelming numbers of humans coming across just at the one point alone. He says it’s 2000 at day there, and Musk does the math in his head “That’s 700K a year, just here!” Then the gobsmacking extrapolations begin when they stretch out the situation for the entire border. And, as Gonzales points out, those are just the ones they’ve gotten their hands on. The “got aways” numbers are exponentially worse.

Rep Gonzales says the border crossings have damn near doubled every year for the past three years.

And that’s when the point is made “it’s not just Mexicans.”

It’s the world coming across the river.

Luckily for freedom of speech, part of the problem with Musk taking it upon himself to see what’s up is that, unlike anyone else who might do so as a private citizen, he has a tremendous platform across a wide swath of varying viewpoints to broadcast what he finds. Elon appeals to huge numbers of nearly every demographic, and when he is talking, people are interested to hear what he’s saying. People really LIKE him, whatever their personal politics.

That terrifies the narrative control freaks currently manipulating the message that the border is secure.

Their audience also pays heed to Elon by virtue of his genius, his edginess, effortless cool factor, and his unfiltered, unintimidated speech, none of which qualities these establishment prog Democrats possess. Their only weapon is to send out semi-popular surrogates or influencers like Squad members to whine in public about…something. Anything in an attempt to distract from what is livestreaming from Elon’s camera under a bridge in Eagle Pass.

Those same millions in Elon’s feed watch each attempt to paper over or deflect from what he’s presenting get crushed brutally, often with the antagonist’s own previous words or actions. What people love – and the elites hate – is that Elon is unafraid to laugh like hell along with everyone else at the public body slamming.

It’s infuriating to the progressive establishment that they have ZERO control over this man.

Elon fearlessly provides the platform where the posers are exposed, time and again.

That causes heartaches enough. But when he himself goes looking because there might just be something that’s begging for exposure – like the tsunami at the border and the administration lies about its security – which has real consequences for the country if left in its current state, it’s panic time. Musk’s visit alone is enough to catch significant publicity, less mind what he captures on video while out there.

Young Musk followers who start asking questions and challenging the narrative can shift things uncomfortably for the Democrats.

He’s a nightmare thorn in their well-fed sides.
