Palestinian-American Doctor Walked Out of White House Meeting With Biden and Harris

A Palestinian American doctor attended a meeting at the White House with President Biden and Kamala Harris Tuesday. The occasion was supposed to be an Iftar dinner to break the Ramadan fast. That changed.

The attendees were uncomfortable celebrating with the president. They didn't want to break that day's fast in the company of the president. So, the event turned into a meeting after the guests requested that no food be served. Dr. Thaer Ahmad escalated the situation by telling the president that he was leaving and why. He did so before the meeting was over.

We were insisting that there be no food there. It made no sense for us to sort of break bread while talking about a famine taking place,' he said.

Almost as soon as he got there, Ahmad told the president that he was leaving and he said that Biden understood. He had an interview with CNN's Kaitlan Collins to let the country know of his protest at the White House.

The doctor wanted Biden to know what it feels like for someone to say something and then walk away, he said. He wants to be heard. So, why didn't he stay and let it rip with Biden? Biden would have let him rant. The president and his administration have completely caved and gone to the pro-Hamas side of the Israel-Hamas war. Biden is so cowed by the fact that Muslim Arab Americans in Michigan and other places have told him they will not vote for him if he doesn't change his strategy of supporting Israel, which means calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, that he just agrees with them now. Instead, Biden says one thing publicly and does something else away from public view.

Why isn't Biden standing up and explaining his moves in supporting Israel? He should be letting all Americans know what he is doing, including those Muslim Arab American voters. Biden is too weak of a president to speak to a variety of Americans. He has been so cocooned that he only speaks to small, friendly audiences.

Ahmad said he told Biden he was disappointed that he was the only Palestinian in the room while he told Biden he had to leave.

'I am from a community that is reeling, we are grieving and our heart is broken from what's been taking place from the last six month,' he said.

Ahmad said the rhetoric coming from the White House was frustrating to listen to as the Palestinians were suffering as a result of the war.

Does the doctor consider himself an American? Israel is a loyal ally of the United States. It is the only democracy in the region. The relationship is a special one and must not be severed by a loud group of Muslim Americans and their useful idiots on college campuses and big blue cities. Biden, for all his talk of his long friendship with Prime Minister Netanyahu, is as antisemitic as Barack Obama.

Joe Biden has lost moral clarity when it comes to the Israel-Hamas war. He and the arrogant twits in his administration are threatening to stop sending arms to Israel if Netanyahu doesn't get in line and do Biden's bidding. Fortunately, Netanyahu has a strong spine and has vowed to continue, with or without Biden's support.

Netanyahu has to continue what he is doing. He is waging a war he did not begin but must end. Hamas started the war on October 7, 2023, when it breached Israel's border and began to massacre Jews and others living in Israel. It cannot be forgotten that October 7 was the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust. Hamas took hostages, including American citizens, and Joe Biden very rarely mentions that some of those Americans are still being held hostage. There is no sense of urgency from Biden's White House to get them back and bring them home.

The doctor gave Biden a letter from an eight-year-old orphaned girl living in Rafah who begged Biden to stop Israel from invading Rafah. At this point, after all the Hamas propaganda spewed by its supporters, it's not easy to believe that such a letter was legit.

'I let him know out of respect for my community, I’m going to leave,' he said he told the president, adding that his community was 'reeling' and 'grieving' as a result of the war.

He expressed anger with the Biden administration for sending more bombs, more bullets, and more fighter jets to Israel to help them continue the war.

'It's devastating and I'm so frustrated and angry to hear something like that, to hear about a fighter jet sale,' he said.

What angers me is the arrogance the pro-Hamas supporters have in their insistence that they should be the ones calling the shots in the U.S. role in the war. Netanyahu is the final word. It is his war to finish. There was a ceasefire in place on October 7 which Hamas ignored.

Hamas must be destroyed. Nothing less will be acceptable. Israel cannot live in peace with Hamas on its border. This doctor was invited to the White House and had his say. Then he told the nation on CNN. Did anything change? Why should it?

I'll just leave this here as I end this post. Senator Fetterman is one of the sane Democrats, which is a pleasant surprise.
