Kamala Harris Calls for an Immediate Ceasefire — 'No Excuses'

Is Benny Gantz gunning for Benjamin Netanyahu's job? Gantz, a top Israeli politician and a member of Netanyahu's war cabinet is heading to Washington, D.C.

In Washington, he will meet with Kamala Harris on Tuesday, as well as Secretary of State Antony Blinken, NSA Jake Sullivan, and Republican and Democratic members of Congress.

Kamala spoke in Selma, Alabama on Sunday. She was there to mark the anniversary of "Bloody Sunday." She said, "People in Gaza are starving. The conditions are inhumane and our common humanity compels us to act. The Israeli government must do more to significantly increase the flow of aid. No excuses."

According to an official from Netanyahu's Likud Party, Gantz's visit was not authorized by the Israeli prime minister.

The prime minister had a "tough talk" with Mr Gantz about the trip and told him the country has "just one prime minister", according to the official.

Mr Gantz had told the PM of his intention to travel to the US and to co-ordinate messaging with him, added an official.

There is no mention that Gantz will meet with President Biden.

Is Biden letting Kamala do his dirty work? It's become painfully apparent that Biden has gone wobbly on unconditional support for Israel's right to defend itself to survive. Recently he was in an ice cream shop with late-night show host Seth Meyers and he casually told a reporter he believed a ceasefire agreement may come as soon as the following Monday. That didn't happen and Biden very likely tossed a wrench into the works with his public declaration. What an idiotic thing to do.

Kamala said that a six-week ceasefire would get the hostages out and allow time to move a significant amount of aid into the Gaza Strip. She said there is a deal on the table and Hamas "needs to agree to that."

This is a deeply unserious administration and it is downright dangerous. Since when is Kamala in charge of ceasefire negotiations in the Israel-Hamas war? This is Israel's war.

Biden and Harris are chomping at the bit to take credit if and when a ceasefire is declared. It is all political for them as they try to woo back the Muslim Arab American voters in Michigan who have grown exasperated that Biden refuses to call for a complete ceasefire. He is afraid of the uncommitted movement that the likes of Rep. Rashida Tlaib and her sister began so voters could send a message to Biden during the Michigan primary. Biden and Harris are willing to turn their back on a 75-year history with the only democracy in its neighborhood and a loyal ally to the United States to try to win Michigan in November. This is beyond the pale.

Kamala wouldn't be meeting with Gantz without permission from Biden. He is letting her publicly call for a ceasefire to take the heat.

Mediators are returning to Egypt in hopes of reaching an agreement before Ramadan, which begins next week. Officials call it the final hurdle to a six-week ceasefire. American officials say that Israel 'more or less' accepts the agreement. Everyone is waiting for approval from Hamas. Hamas usually goes along and then at the eleventh hour calls off agreements. Terrorists are not good-faith partners. Go figure.

Is it a coincidence that progressive Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna of California said on Meet the Press Sunday morning that Biden "needs to do something bold" because he's losing the pro-Hamas caucus? I don't believe in coincidences in politics.

There is no such thing as a two-state solution as long as Hamas is in Gaza. Khanna can take a seat. Has he forgotten that there was a ceasefire in place on October 7, 2023?

So far, Hamas denies there is a deal and there is doubt that the Israeli delegation will attend final discussions. Neither side wants the appearance that the United States is calling the shots. Hamas rejected Israel's demand for a complete list naming hostages that are still alive.

Kamala described the "inhumane conditions" along the Gaza border and noted the "humanitarian catastrophe" among the Palestinian people. That's ballsy of her considering she is supposed to be the border czar in the United States. The Biden border crisis has produced a humanitarian catastrophe, too. Once again, the Biden administration shows more concern for another border than its own.

Above everything else, the hostages must be released from Gaza. In the meantime, the last thing we need is for Cackling Kamala to take over the United States seat at the table on negotiating a ceasefire.

In the meantime, what's Gantz up to? Is he gunning for Netanyahu's job?
