Joe Biden could be doing many things this weekend. He chose to spend the weekend in California with the rich and famous in Southern California. He’s begging for bucks and patting his donors on the back for helping him defeat Donald Trump in 2020. He hopes they will do the same in 2024.
If Joe Biden was a normal president, he would have attended the Army-Navy football game on Saturday afternoon. It is standard for a president to attend at least one of the games but Biden has not attended any of them since he’s been in office.
Today, Army and Navy play for the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy.
The game has been attended by sitting presidents Trump (3), Obama (1), W. Bush (3), Clinton (1), Ford (1), JFK (2), Coolidge (1), Wilson (1), Truman (7), and T. Roosevelt (2).

During a fundraiser in Los Angeles Friday night, Biden told the crowd, “You’re the reason that Donald Trump is a former president, or he hates when I say it, a defeated president.” President Unity plans to campaign on trashing Trump and talking about Trump’s threat to democracy.
At the Holmby Hills home of designer Michael Smith and former ambassador James Costos, Biden rallied his donors, many of whom backed him in the last campaign, while turning his focus on his likely 2024 rival. He spent a substantial part of his remarks warning of Trump as a threat to democracy, a contrast that many of the president’s steadfast backers believe will boost support as the 2024 campaign gets in full swing.
“Literally, I believe, the future of democracy is at stake,” Biden said, according to a pool report. “The greatest threat Trump poses is to our democracy, because if we lost that, we lose everything.”
It’s quite amazing how much Biden lacks in self-awareness. As usual, Democrats accuse Republicans of things they are doing. Joe Biden’s DOJ is actively working to put Donald Trump in jail so that he cannot serve another term as president. I’m pretty sure that a president giving the nod to jailing his political opponents is an anti-democracy move. Another example of Biden’s attack on democracy is that Biden persists in leaving the southern border wide open with millions of illegal immigrants pouring in each year since he was inaugurated. A country without borders is not a sovereign country.
The president talked of Trump’s behavior on January 6, 2021, when the then-president was watching TV coverage of the attack on the Capitol from a West Wing dining room, as a mob searched for his vice president.
“It’s despicable. It’s simply despicable,” Biden said, then saying, a bit facetiously, “My guess is that he won’t show up at my next inauguration.”
Biden also referred to Trump’s comments earlier this week, in which the former president told Sean Hannity that he would not abuse power in a second term except for the first day of his presidency, when he would close the border and expand drilling.
“The other day [Trump] said, ‘He would be a dictator only one day. That God. Only one day,” Biden said sarcastically.
Good thing no one ever thinks Biden and his administration act as though he is a dictator, right? Biden allowed teachers’ unions to dictate how long schools were closed during the pandemic. The Biden administration put forth vaccine mandates and many people lost jobs over that mandate, including members of the military and first responders.
Joe Biden shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline project when he came into office. He destroyed American energy independence with his lame-brain energy policies. He put John Kerry into a made-up job of climate change czar, which was a huge red flag. Kerry was in the Middle East last week at a climate conference and he told the audience that there should not be any coal plants anymore, anywhere. The stupidity of the climate change cult knows no bounds. Joe Biden picks winners and losers in the jobs market. Energy sector jobs have been targeted in the madness. Energy independence is a national security issue.
Jill spoke before Joe. She’s happy Joe is president. Of course, she is. She loves the power and living large in the White House. She loves it so much that she is abusing her elderly husband by insisting he run for re-election. If he wins in 2024, it is doubtful he’ll survive another full term. His health is failing and his mental state is a mess. But, Trump.
Earlier at the event, First Lady Jill Biden said that she was “so glad that Joe is our president during these uncertain times,” and she also asked the crowd to recall their feeling after Trump won in 2016, according to Reuters. “We have to begin now,” she said.
Biden spoke for 11 minutes. Those people paid a lot of money for an 11-minute speech. Co-hosts of the event included Steven Spielberg, Shonda Rhimes, and Rob Reiner. Nancy Pelosi introduced Biden. Others in attendance were Governor Newsom, Rep. Adam Schiff, and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass.
Reports are that Biden didn’t speak about the Israel-Hamas war. There was a large group of pro-Palestine protesters outside the security parameter.
Biden took some time to visit the home of recently deceased Hollywood legend Norman Mailer on Saturday.
.@POTUS is currently making a shiva call at the residence of Lyn and Norman Lear in honor of Norman Lear’s passing z’l.
