In case anyone thinks the Biden border crisis isn’t enough of a national security and humanitarian threat to the United States, the Biden Department of Homeland Security has added another aspect to it. Friday U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that effective immediately, the agency is changing its policy to allow immigrants applying for benefits to choose a gender and the choice does not have to match supporting documentation.

It’s no coincidence that the administration chose to make this announcement on Friday – the day that Joe Biden officially proclaimed Transgender Day of Visibility. Every decision coming from this administration is a political one and this policy decision announcement is no different. Biden’s proclamation states, “I call upon all Americans to join in the fight for full equality for all transgender people.”

The Biden border crisis has allowed millions of illegal aliens to cross the southern border. Once they are on U.S. soil, the majority of them stay here and apply for benefits. They can check either male or female on the applications, no matter what the rest of their documentation says. It’s all about self-identification with this administration. Perhaps an illegal alien wakes up in the morning and has Shania Twain’s “I Feel Like a Woman” running through his mind. Boom! That man can check ‘female’ and no one cares. No need to worry about properly identifying illegal aliens if the need arises later. In Biden’s America, we live in opposite world.

Whatever happened to following the science?

Those applying for benefits don’t have to provide supporting documentation that matches their gender choice. Illegal aliens already in the system can change their previous selection without the need for proof. The only ones who have to provide proof of their gender choice are those who are already citizens.

DHS said the public requested the change in 2021 during a comment period when the agency asked people to suggest ways to break down barriers to applying for immigration benefits.

“This update is also intended to reduce barriers to travel, employment, services, and benefits by eliminating delays and preventing discrimination and harassment due to inconsistent identity documents,” the agency said in its new guidance.

USCIS said the change is also in line with President Biden’s executive orders to make it easier to apply for immigration benefits and to advance his equity agenda.

Under the old policy those who wanted to select a different “gender marker” had to have documents to support that identity. That meant something like a new identification card, a court order or a document from a doctor.

USCIS suggested that created a security problem for people who wanted to identify one way but who lacked documentation, so their identity card may not accurately reflect their biographic data.

Team Biden wants to make receiving benefits as easy as possible for those who came into this country illegally. This attitude emboldens those in other countries to ignore American immigration laws and then expect to be allowed to remain in the United States and receive benefits, courtesy of American taxpayers. It’s a sweet deal for them, isn’t it? There are no rules anymore. In a world where Supreme Court nominees can’t even define the word “woman”, nothing matters. Let’s just file everyone under a generic “X” and be done with it.

Oh, and blame MAGA Republicans for everything.

“The gender marker they select does not need to match the gender marker indicated on their supporting documentation,” the release said. “The update also clarifies that people requesting benefits do not need to submit proof of their gender identity when submitting a request to change their gender marker, except for those submitting Form N-565, Application for Replacement Naturalization/Citizenship Document.”

Currently, the only gender markers available are “Male” or “Female,” but DHS said it is working on options to include an additional gender marker (“X”) for another or unspecified gender identity.

The announcement came the same day the White House condemned “MAGA extremists” in a statement from President Biden in honor of “Transgender Day of Visibility.”

“Transgender Americans deserve to be safe and supported in every community – but today, across our country, MAGA extremists are advancing hundreds of hateful and extreme state laws that target transgender kids and their families,” Biden said in a written statement. “No one should have to be brave just to be themselves.”

It’s all politics all the time. There is nothing too outlandish for the Biden administration if it means there may be a vote in 2024. The administration is flying by the seat of its pants and doing as they wish. It’s crazy town all the time. What is the point of requiring documents for identification if the documents don’t have to match up with what the applicant claims?
