Cardi B rant about Bidenflation went viral on social media and it's perfect

When she’s right, she’s right. Singer Cardi B is on a tear about Bidenflation, putting her thoughts on social media and she has the full support of lots of people, including conservatives. It’s not the first time she’s weighed in on the rising cost of living in the real world. Her tone has sharpened now and she’s not holding back.

She delivers the message in her own way of speaking but she’s not wrong. Anyone who has shopped in a grocery store lately knows that the prices are crazy high on lots of products, especially on basic items like eggs, bread, dairy products, and cereal. These aren’t luxury purchases, easily erased from a shopping list. These are products the average person stocks in the kitchen to cook for their family or themselves. Cardi B referenced the price of lettuce. Fresh produce is up, too. That salad you enjoy for lunch or with dinner is going to cost you. There is no escaping Bidenflation.

Cardi mentions that her weekly grocery costs are “tripling up.”

‘What the f— is going on?” she asked.

“Lettuce was like $2 a couple months ago and now it’s like f—— $7, of course I’m [going to] say something. The f—?” she said.

The rapper and music star, born Belcalis Almanzar, continued: “Cause if I think that s— is crazy, I could only imagine what middle class people or people in the hood [are] motherf—— thinking.”

Cardi B added that she had every right to use her global platform of over 27.5 million followers on Twitter alone to speak out on food inflation even though she is wealthy.

“I want to see for myself” why prices are so high, she said.

She said some critics were asking why she cares because she is very wealthy. To her credit, she took the opportunity to do a little PSA to encourage people to budget their money and keep an eye on weekly expenses, as she does. She said he gets a weekly report on her household expenses to see where her money is going. Cardi B said she has bills to pay, same as everyone else, and people who count on her financial support, too.

She tweeted a much milder message about Bidenflation at Christmas time.

At that time, some people reminded her that she voted for all this. I don’t know if she even voted in the 2020 presidential election but I do know she participated in the Biden campaign. The Biden campaign regularly brought in popular entertainment people and celebrities to try to show Sleepy Joe is cool, or something. Allegedly Ashley Biden was behind getting the celeb appearances in place. In 2020, Cardi B did a kind of interview with him for Elle magazine – she was the interviewer – and asked him some general questions about his stances on things like Medicaid and other social programs she said members of her family and friends depend on in their lives. She was a little confused at the start of the virtual interview because she kept referring to him as Biden, as though she thought that was his first name. He quickly told her to call him Joe.

In the interview she said she wanted Trump “out” because “his mouth” gets the U.S. in trouble. She said at the time “she doesn’t want to be lied to, wants a president “to tell me what the steps are for us to get better,” as well as free college tuition, free Medicare and “laws that are fair to Black citizens and that are fair for cops, too.” As a side note, she also interviewed Bernie Sanders in 2019.

She likes to weigh in on topics that affect people. Cardi B knows that weighing in on Bidenflation won’t bring prices down but she says she wants to raise awareness. Don’t worry, Cardi B, everyone is aware of Bidenflation.

Republican Rep. Byron Donalds said during an interview on Fox and Friends Thursday morning that he agrees with Cardi B. “Cardi B, I agree with you.” The Florida congressman is involved in the House speaker’s race, with his name put in play Wednesday by members of the Freedom Caucus who oppose the election of Kevin McCarty as the next speaker.

Elections have consequences, as Cardi B is learning. Those who voted for Joe Biden brought Bidenflation on us. His policies and rampant spending bills, supported by the Democrats in control of Congress over the course of the last two years, ramped up inflation to historical levels. The previous administration handed Biden an economy that had no inflation to speak of and an economy poised to quickly recover from the damage done by the pandemic. Biden quickly turned the economy into the wrong direction and that is what we are dealing with today. No one, no matter how wealthy, is escaping Bidenflation.
