A Catholic bishop in Texas is asking people to not listen to Hillary Clinton. He calls her an “evil woman”. He’s not wrong.

Bishop Joseph Strickland of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas tweeted out his disapproval of Clinton’s remarks during an interview with Christiane Amanpour at the Clinton Presidential Center’s summit on women’s rights Friday. Amanpour asked Clinton about a past statement she made that women’s rights were “unfinished business.” Hillary launched into a tirade about pro-life Americans being as bad as the Taliban and used the Dobbs decision as the basis of her proclamations.

“We have come along way on so many fronts but we are also in a period of time where there is a lot of pushback and much of the progress that has been taken for granted by too many people is under attack: literally under attack in places like Iran or Afghanistan or Ukraine — where rape is a tactic of war — or under attack by political and cultural forces in a country like our own when it comes to women’s healthcare and bodily autonomy,” Clinton said.

Did Hillary Clinton, a former secretary of state and U.S. senator, along with being a former first lady, just compare abortion “rights” to using rape as a tactic of war? Yes. Yes, she did. For that, she deserves to be shunned by any reasonable person. Of all the super-privileged people in our country, Hillary Clinton knows what she is saying is crazy talk but she has a political point to make, and trashing the pro-life community is part of her script. There are many things we can thank the Trump administration for and first and foremost is to thank Trump for beating this awful Democrat woman in the 2016 election. We certainly dodged a bullet there.

I don’t think the “needs to be silenced” language is appropriate because it’s too incite-y and if we are talking about political dialogue we have to be honest about it. Temperatures need to be lowered on all sides. That said, the bishop’s sentiment is correct. Hillary needs to be ignored. Why is she still relevant to any audience? She’s been wrong about just about everything in her political career. She’s a conspiracy theorist as the original creator of the term “right-wing conspiracy” in 1998. She was a horrible presidential candidate despite plenty of knowledge of such things being married to a two-term president. Her presidential campaign created the conspiracy theory that Trump was a Russian asset, a Trojan Horse for Putin, and all things Russia, Russia, Russia. None of those actions point to a good person.

Obviously, Hillary was referencing the Dobbs decision by the Supreme Court. What she does is what Democrats have done since the decision came down. They pretend that abortion is banned in the United States now and lie to people about that. What the Dobbs decision did, though, is to allow states to regulate abortion without federal interference. That is how it was before Roe v Wade was put into effect in 1973. When people are told the facts, most agree it is a reasonable decision. The majority of Americans may not be strongly pro-life but they are in favor of limits on abortion.

Amanpour, by the way, was married to Jamie Rubin for 20 years. Rubin was U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs in the Clinton administration. It’s all so cozy, isn’t it, between the media and Democrats?

Amanpour asked Hillary about the “pushback on American women’s rights.”

“Talk to me about the confluence of both these events. This pushback on American women’s rights at the same time as you’re trying to figure a way forward,” Amanpour said during the interview.

“We have work to do to try to defend our rights, to stand up for them. And what we’ve seen, particularly since the Dobbs decision across our country, is that when voters — both men and women, but led by women — have a chance to vote on these draconian abortion restrictions they do not accept them,” Clinton said.

In Hillary’s liberal bubble, saving the lives of unborn children is draconian. Conflating Islamic theology and war crimes with the pro-life movement is a normal conversation for her. It’s sick.

She really outdid herself when she lumped Afghanistan and Sudan into the conversation. Limits on abortion are undemocratic, she implied.

“It’s so shocking to think that in any way we’re related to poor Afghanistan and Sudan,” Clinton said. “But as an advanced economy, as we allegedly are, on this measure, we unfortunately are rightly put with them.”

Sudan’s Islamist state bans abortion except for when a woman was raped or her life is in danger. Afghanistan’s Islamist state bans abortion except for when the mother’s life in danger.

“This struggle is between autocracy and democracy, from our country to places we can’t even believe we’re being compared to,” Clinton said.

Amanpour provided no pushback to Hillary’s ridiculousness. Amanpour lives in London and knows the abortion laws in Europe. In England, for example, abortion is legal up to 24 weeks for specific reasons. In France, abortion is legal up until 14 weeks. The same is true in Spain – up to 14 weeks. You get the picture. Other Western countries have limits on abortion, which is why she has to turn to such extreme comparisons in her argument for abortion with no limits ever.

Hillary Clinton goes on PBS and compares pro-lifers to the Iranian regime, the Taliban, and Russian soldiers raping Ukrainian women.
