Last November the Telegraph reported that a BBC program had spliced part of Trump's January 6 speech together in a way that gave a misleading impression that he was urging or endorsing a riot.
🚨 BREAKING: The BBC was just exposed for DOCTORING President Trump’s Jan 6 speech to make it seem he ENDORSED rioting, per whistleblower

The BBC would later apologize for the misleading edit but said it would not be offering any kind of compensation.
The BBC has apologised to US President Donald Trump for a Panorama episode that spliced parts of his 6 January 2021 speech together, but rejected his demands for compensation.
The corporation said the edit had given "the mistaken impression that President Trump had made a direct call for violent action" and said it would not show the 2024 programme again.
About a month later, Trump filed a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the BBC. That case continues to be fought over in court and last week Trump won a stay which meant he was not required to turn over business records as part of the trial.
President Donald Trump won an 11th-hour court reprieve Thursday that temporarily blocks the BBC from obtaining detailed records on the finances and ownership of his business empire as part of his $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the British broadcaster.
The emergency stay, granted in Miami federal court, pauses a looming Thursday deadline that would have forced the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust to turn over tax returns, financial statements and ownership records for roughly 400 corporate entities.
Trump’s lawyers filed the emergency motion Wednesday, calling the BBC’s demand “shockingly broad” and argued disclosure would cause irreparable harm because the broadcaster could not “un-see” the confidential information if the order were later overturned.
That was a win but not a permanent one. The court would still need to decide whether or not Trump would eventually be obligated to turn over the documents.
Today, Trump got another win in court. This one allows him to amend his complaint so that his business records will be off limits.
Trump was seeking permission to modify his original lawsuit, but the BBC insisted he missed the deadline and was playing tactical legal games to avoid financial disclosures.
United States District Judge Roy K. Altman sided with Trump, granting him permission to file an amended complaint and wiping out the BBC's previous motion to dismiss as "moot."
"Today’s strong and thoughtful ruling is a major win for President Trump’s powerhouse lawsuit against the formerly respected and now disgraced BBC, which defamed President Trump by intentionally, maliciously and deceptively doctoring his speech in a brazen attempt to interfere in the 2024 Presidential Election. President Trump is holding the leftist BBC, along with all of its comrades in the mainstream media, accountable for their peddling of Fake News through deception and maliciously defamatory conduct," a spokesman for Trump’s legal team told Fox News Digital.
A tentative trial date for this case has already been set. If it happens, it may begin next February.
US President Donald Trump's multi-billion dollar lawsuit against the BBC has been scheduled to go to trial in February 2027, according to court documents...
The trial is scheduled to last two weeks. The BBC has not commented. It has previously apologised to Trump over the Panorama edit, but rejected his demands for compensation and disagreed there was a basis for a defamation and trade practices claim.
I'm not an attorney but I wonder if the BBC is really eager to take this case to trial. They might prefer to pay something to make it go away. Given their losses in the past week, I'll be keeping an eye out for an announcement about a settlement.
