'Living in A World of Lunatics': French Gynecologist Suspended for Refusing to Examine Trans-Woman

The far left's insistence that everyone play along with their delusions really has no end. In France a gynecologist has been accused of transphobia and suspended for a month for refusing to examine a trans-woman.

Dr. Victor Acharian works in the French city of Pau. Back in 2023 a trans woman came to his office and sought an exam. The patient had not had any kind of gender reassignment surgery meaning they were still, medically speaking, a man. Dr. Acharian refused to see the patient.

A man, who had been in the process of gender transition for three years, went to the office of Dr. Victor Acharian, a gynecologist from Pau, with his partner on August 29, 2023. He complained of chest pain.  On site, the medical secretary alerted the practitioner by internal messaging that his next patient was a transgender woman . The person concerned responded: "I don't deal with that, there are specialists in Bordeaux or Toulouse ." The secretary forwarded the message to the couple, who were outraged and left. A few hours later, the partner left an unfavorable review on the gynecologist's Google account: "It was my trans partner's first appointment, he refused to see her, his secretary coldly threw us out. I don't recommend it, never again."

Dr. Acharian left a response to the negative review in which he said he only treated "real women."

In response, the doctor remarked that his practice was only open to patients who were “real women.”

“SIR, I am a gynecologist, and I take care of real women. I have no skills to take care of MEN, even if they have shaved their beards and come to tell my secretary that they [have] become women. My GYNECOLOGICAL examination table is not suitable for examining men. You have specialized and very competent services to take care of men like you,” Acharian wrote, emphasizing his text with capitalized letters. “Thank you for informing TRANS people to never come for consultation with me.”

The trans-woman described this as "hyper-violent." Dr. Acharian later apologized for his language, saying he was angry because he felt he was being "attacked unfairly." He offered to refer the trans patient to another doctor. But by this point it had become a national incident.

LGBT groups across Europe have condemned the gynaecologist and one has lodged a police complaint. “Transphobia is a reality with serious consequences, particularly in access to healthcare,” the French group SOS Homophobie tweeted.

Meanwhile, some prominent feminists defended Acharian saying he was right to refuse to examine a biological male.

Marguerite Stern, a prominent women’s rights activist who has repeatedly clashed with transgender groups over the definition of a woman, said Acharian’s suspension was unjustified.

“Gynaecologists are only qualified to treat women … We are living in a world of lunatics,” she said.

And clearly we are living in a world of lunatics because a medical disciplinary board just suspended Acharian for a month

In December he appeared before a disciplinary board of the French Medical Council and he has now been suspended for a month from March 1, with an additional five months’ probation.

Édouard Martial, a lawyer representing the patient, said: “We have the satisfaction of having confirmation that what happened that day was totally abnormal.”

I've seen some suggesting that the minimal suspension suggests the disciplinary board didn't see much of an offense here. Maybe that's so but the fact they gave him any discipline at all is a signal to other gynecologists that they must play along with the "trans women are women" mantra even if it means giving a woman's medical exam to someone with a penis.
