On the rare occasions when the legacy media can be bothered to ask the White House about the Biden border crisis, we are repeatedly told the same story. Karine Jean-Pierre and her ilk assure us that ‘the border is closed‘ and the stories about chaos at the border are all propaganda from Fox News. But the few reporters who actually go to the border and investigate are seeing something very different. Particularly in Arizona, the border is quite literally “open.” In fact, 114 of the massive gates in the Arizona border fence have been welded open. This was supposedly done to ensure maximum water flow during the rainy season, but illegal migrants are using the gates as a free pass into the country and the majority of them are able to enter without being molested by border enforcement authorities. The door to America is wide open.

Thousands of migrants are flowing across the US border in Arizona every day — literally through open floodgates that have made the Tucson post the busiest point of illegal entry into the country, The Post has learned.

US officials have inexplicably welded open 114 massive gates along the Arizona border to allow water to flow freely during the annual monsoon season and for the migration of an endangered species of antelope, officials said.

The open gates are reportedly being used by an average of 1,400 illegal aliens per day. Reporters spoke to some of the migrants and they seemed confused by the situation. One person from Ecuador told a reporter that he had expected to be given information by American border agents, “but we just walked right in.”

This is the reality of the border under the Biden administration. We are being lied to from the podium in the press briefing room on a daily basis. Meanwhile, the numbers continue to climb, heading toward seven million by the end of Joe Biden’s first term. None of the people coming through these gates that were welded open are being interviewed or vetted. They aren’t being given dates to appear in immigration court. There are no criminal background checks being done and they’re not being screened for diseases. We have no idea who they are or where they are going.

And it’s not just illegal aliens coming through those gates. A certain percentage of them are drug smuggling mules. Others are engaging in human trafficking, including child sexual trafficking. Others are clearly gang members from northern triangle countries looking for a “fresh start” with their criminal colleagues in America’s cities.

This is all happening by design. It’s exactly what the Democrats wanted to happen. And now the human wave is washing up in every state in the nation. And what do they do when they arrive at their destination? In the case of New York City, they are taking over places that were formerly home to legal citizens, particularly at the Stratford Arms hotel on W. 70th Street. It used to be a home for students from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy along with a few dozen senior citizens with special needs. Now they’ve been given the boot and the migrants are living there and they’re not being well behaved at all. (National Review)

“The city did not think this through,” [Joe] Germanotta told National Review. “And we’re all suffering. They dropped 500 people into the neighborhood that have no code of conduct.”

“We’re probably 18 months away from looking like San Francisco.”

Germanotta was told by a neighbor that a domestic dispute broke out on the street about 100 feet from his building last week. At about 12:45 a.m., a migrant beat up his wife, kicking her to the ground. Police were called but made no arrests and allowed them back into Stratford Arms, he said.

“Residents in my building along with my neighbors are scared to death,” he said.

That neighborhood used to be one of the nicer and safer ones in the city. The guy being interviewed (Germanotta) is Madonna’s father. Now his neighborhood has been turned into a war zone. And all of this is going to continue as long as Joe Biden and the Democrats are in charge. Those gates weren’t welded open by accident. Someone was ordered to go do that. The public deserves to know how that happened and to have that action reversed, not that it will come close to solving the problem entirely.

We could have finished building the entire border wall with one-tenth of the money that we’ve sent to Ukraine since last year. We need to finish that job and we need to start yesterday.
