Ilhan Omar has plenty to celebrate. Another election victory and Democrats back in control of Congress. She’s dancing onstage, taking shots at President Trump, and celebrating her party’s return to power. Meanwhile, there’s that pesky federal investigation hanging over her head. But Omar doesn’t seem too worried. Maybe she’s counting on her fellow Democrats to make life a whole lot easier for her.
Eight Muslims in Congress, and Omar Is Thrilled
Omar also took to X to congratulate newly elected Michigan Senator Abdul El-Sayed.
She is certainly pleased with the election results, and why shouldn’t she be? Not only does she now have new Muslims in Congress with her, but another development could work in her favor.
Democrats will soon control the House and Senate Judiciary committees, which oversee the Department of Justice. And wouldn’t you know it, that’s the very department investigating Omar.
