...On a brick wall at 70th and Halsted, in the heart of Chicago's Englewood โ a neighborhood that's ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐% ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ค โ someone painted a mural of Donald Trump.
It went up in the summer of 2024, right after the assโssination attempt: blood on his face, the words โDA C.I.A. MISSEDโ beside him. And nearly two years later, it's ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ .
Sit with that. In a deep-blue, overwhelmingly black community, a Trump mural has stood for almost two years ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐จ๐ฎ๐๐ก๐๐ โ not vandalized, not painted over, not torn down.
We were told, again and again, that black America despised this man. The neighborhood that supposedly hates him most has quietly left his face on the wall.
