“I want the show to be fun, [it] should be inclusive to everybody,” Fallon said, according to the employees. “It should be the best show.”
[Well, kudos to Fallon for manning up and taking responsibility, at least, and apologizing. Not everyone would have done that. Maybe he felt the blowback left him no choice, and perhaps NBC leaned on him to do something to fix the bad PR, but it’s still the right thing to do. — Ed]
