Six months after an election that saw the Democratic Party lose, in chronological order, their incumbent presidential candidate, the United States Senate, and the White House, some statistical analysis has come out, primarily in the New York Times but also in some other polling outfits, that indicate the troubles facing the Democratic Party are getting worse, not better.
Over the weekend, the Times ran a story looking at electoral trends in this country during the era of Donald Trump, meaning the 2016, 2020, and 2024 election cycles, and it's pretty stunning.
Democrats are down bad in the last 3 elections vs President Trump:
— Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) May 25, 2025
Per The New York Times: “Democrats have steadily expanded their vote share in those three elections in only 57 of the nation’s 3,100-plus counties.”
Democrats are expanding in less than 2% of the country. Yikes. pic.twitter.com/GaCOjdyovg
That's not just a one-off move to the right. It is a consistent move to the right over a 12-year period since the re-election of Barack Obama in 2012.
This looks pretty red, but when you show the same map with all the counties that moved three times to the right in consecutive elections versus one of counties moving leftward all three elections, it's even more graphic. From the article's author, Shane Goldmacher:
NEW at NYT: One of the clearest ways to see how Trump has transformed the political landscape is to look at what we're calling "triple trending" counties — those that have steadily marched in each party's direction in the Trump era.
— Shane Goldmacher (@ShaneGoldmacher) May 25, 2025
The results are stark.

Yes, but what about Georgia, you might ask. Georgia, of course, voted for Joe Biden over Donald Trump in 2020. Surely, the Peach State is a fly in the data ointment, right?
Maybe not the great news for GA Dems they think it is… pic.twitter.com/nkY5pBxtV3

Goldmacher talked to a Georgia voter in research for his story, and here's what that Democratic voter had to say.

That's petty harsh, but not inaccurate. And it's not just data in the New York Times. Although speaking of New York...

Care to hazard a guess on which issues most Americans considered as primary reasons for their vote? Yup, the ones with a red dot next to them.
So what has happened to the base of the Democratic Party? In short, they've become hyper-left and very elitist. Look at the trend of Democrats from 2014-2024 in this Gallup survey.
The Democratic Party faces plenty of hurdles to stay politically competitive, but one key challenge is that the party has become an ideologically outlier on cultural issues. From 2004 to 2024 Democrats have become a socially liberal party from a center-right party. pic.twitter.com/VqtjRWKQxd
— Daniel Cox (@dcoxpolls) May 26, 2025
Modern-day Democrats are no longer a center-left national party. The fever swamp has taken over. And as for the people with whom they resonate, look at this stat, again from the Goldmacher story in the Times.
In not one of the "triple trending" Trump counties did a majority of adults have a college degree.
— Shane Goldmacher (@ShaneGoldmacher) May 25, 2025
And in the 1,500 counties with the smallest proportion of college graduates, **only one** steadily voted more Democratic over the last three elections.https://t.co/KINfJds7X5 pic.twitter.com/kzA58U89zO
The Democrats, intentionally or not, have lost the mantle of representing the working-class. Those voters are now in the Republican camp.
Now look again at the Times' graph, except this time, instead of arrows, we're using dots. The larger the dot, the larger the movement over the last three cycles.
Some enormous trends pop out right away when looking at the latest NYT map showing counties that shifted in one direction during each of the last three elections.

1) Dems are cooked in Ohio. Permanently.
2) The Richmond suburbs are what has propelled Virginia into the Dem… pic.twitter.com/PsSn3deHFI
Florida and Ohio are gone for the Democrats. Pennsylvania is slipping away rapidly, and check out Nevada. That huge red circle? That's Clark County, where all the people live. If there is a red dot of that size, Nevada's not going to be a swing state for very long.
So what are Democrats doing to reverse these trends? Absolutely nothing, which pleases me to no end.
Today, I was denied access to seeing my constituent, Mr. Kilmar Abrego Garcia. If there is nothing to hide, cut the crap. Let his lawyer and I check on him.

@CASAforall pic.twitter.com/V310GDmIc4
Glenn Ivey, a Congressman whose name sounds like a nudist colony, is more concerned about his constituent, an El Salvadoran national who illegally entered the United States, beat his wife regularly, and ran drugs and other illegals across state lines, rather than the working-class people he's left on the side of the road for Donald Trump and the Republican Party to win over.
On Memorial Day, while virtually every normal American spent a little time remembering all the brave Americans who paid the ultimate price to defend this country, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson was busy with another holiday.
JUST IN: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson wishes everyone "happy Africa Day."

You would otherwise think this is a conjuration by artificial intelligence, but it's not. He's just that tone deaf, as is my former Congresswoman, Katie 'Batgirl' Porter. The former UCI housing grifter has announced her candidacy for governor of the Golden State, and offered this up over the weekend.

That's just swell, Katie. Everyone should totally ride a mass transit system that has homeless and God knows what other viral infections looming...unless there's a cheaper, cleaner alternative.
1 gallon of gas, even in the absurdly overpriced California is $5.06.

So, you could have driven the same trip, in half the time, with no waiting, for half the cost. pic.twitter.com/zCih5NCOcR
Katie's way is $25 dollars a day round-trip. Five times a week is $125. A month will cost you almost $600 dollars.
A little south in Los Angeles, the permits to begin rebuilding after the Pacific Palisades are flying out at the speed of sloth. Here's a video allegedly put out by Mayor Karen Bass' office. I say allegedly, because until now, I thought only Kamala Harris and her team were that optically stupid. But I guess not.
Homes are under construction throughout the Palisades — ahead of expectations.

We've taken action to cut red tape and expedite the permitting process to get families home. pic.twitter.com/JvF7p6v6eV
Let's all count together the number of construction projects visible in Bass' video. I see...one. There were, *checks notes*, a lot more than one before the fire came through there.
The first press secretary for former President Joe Biden that lied to you for two years about his physical and mental cognitive abilities, Jen Psaki, is still employed by NBC News. And as a reward for gaslighting Americans, she has her own prime-time show on MSNBC. On it, she featured another proven liar, former FBI director James Comey. The gaslighting on tap for the evening? All the right-wing violence by the white-supremacist-adjacent Republicans.
MSNBC’s @jrpsaki: “Do you think there are laws that should be put in place that would help better manage [MAGA Republicans], that aren’t in place now?”@Comey: “… Let’s say you work in the FBI. You know that one of the two political parties is, let me put it nicely, white… pic.twitter.com/QcqXib4aw5

And speaking of Jew hatred on the left, here's what Harvard just did in the last few days.
BREAKING: Harvard Divinity School just named a student who assaulted a Jewish classmate as a class marshal.

Democrats couldn't be themselves without their comrades in the media. On CNN, Sara Sidner did her part to keep the comedy of the Late Norm McDonald longer than the comic himself.
CNN’s anchor’s main concern is how the murder of two innocent lives in Washington DC will impact the optics of the “Free Palestine” movement.

I truly have no words left. The media is fully complicit. pic.twitter.com/bM3CXR70T7
Once again, the prescience of Norm McDonald.

60 Minutes' Scott Pelley, purportedly a reporter/journalist, gave a commencement speech at Wake Forest to the young men and women the Democratic Party are losing in droves.
🚨CBS/60 Minutes’ Scott Pelley raged at Trump in angry, unhinged commencement address at Wake Forest:

So what happens if the Democrats do defy the trends, the polling, and constantly staking out the 20% ground of 80-20 issues cutting against them and win in 2026?
Why, investigate and impeach Trump, of course.
🚨 #BREAKING: Jasmine Crockett just announced that if and when Democrats take the House next year, she plans to lead the Oversight Committee so she can investigate Trump, his actions and potentially his family.

Don't change a thing, Democrats. Leave poor David Hogg alone. Keep giving a microphone to Hillary Clinton so she can talk about handmaidens of the patriarchy. By all means, have Chuck Schumer continue to blame a Mexican ship that lost power on Donald Trump and DOGE. Keep putting Nancy Pelosi on television to claim how she's always been for the children, that is, the ones that don't get aborted. Feature Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett as much as you can.
You're doing great. I'm sure you'll return to power before you know it.
