Welcome to our VIP feature for Hot Air as well as a members-only show in the Hughniverse! Duane Patterson and I now are doing a Week in Review show for Friday evenings, exclusive to members in both platforms. Duane has been the Generalissimo behind the Hugh Hewitt Show for more than two decades, and we have partnered on weekly commentary since 2007.
IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS!
In our midterm election finale, Duane and I talk about the late-breaking scandals from the Democrats and how they may help Donald Trump and his messaging. We start in Alaska, where the New York Times blew open a conspiracy to defraud the voters in one of the most incompetent dirty tricks of all time. The best that Democrats can muster as a defense so far is to claim that Mary Peltola and the DSCC didn't actually commit a crime – although that may not be true.
We also discuss the curious case of Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, AKA Ilhan Omar, and another NYT bombshell that blew up her denials about marrying her brother, and other matters. That may not impact the election in MN-05, but it might have an impact on Minnesota's other elections, not to mention Democrats' ability to shift focus to Trump.
We spend the second half dissecting polling, early vote totals, and predicting some outcomes. Which of us are bullish on Minnesota? Do we worry about Texas? Does Mike Collins have a change in Georgia? How do we see the overall outcomes in the House and Senate? Be sure to watch all the way through, and mark your scorecards for our next show...
Be sure to watch it all, and extend the conversation in the comments!
