Did you watch Joe Biden’s campaign-launch video? “He was on camera for all of, what — six seconds?” Adam Baldwin asks in our latest episode. “It’s a repeat of his basement campaign. They’re going to put him in his little studio and get some sound bites here and there,” Adam continues, “and that’s basically going to be the television push.” But that’s not the entire campaign strategy, as we discuss — and a big part of the media collusion to get Biden re-elected got exposed this week as well.

Welcome back to our VIP video series “The Amiable Skeptics,” featuring my friend Adam Baldwin! Adam is well-known for his long and storied Hollywood career, starting with My Bodyguard, and especially for his roles in Full Metal Jacket, Firefly, its film sequel Serenity, Chuck, and The Last Ship.
“It’s nothing but a collection of clichés that say absolutely nothing except for the demagoguery aimed at opponents,” I reply. Rather than report on the lack of substance, though, the media has begun not just tossing softballs at Biden, but “pre-approved, previewed softballs,” as photos revealed at Biden’s joint presser with the South Korean president this week. The media has colluded with the White House to make Biden “look more intelligent than he is” with supposedly extemporaneous responses to their pre-submitted questions. “That’s a whole different kettle of fish,” I argue, than just the normal media bias in play.
Will a primary challenge from RFK Jr force the media to play more honestly? Neither of us think so, but it will be interesting to see whether it gains any serious attention — and whether it’s worthy of it. “Even Democrats who are starting at least on the fringe, are starting to raise questions” about Biden, I say. “RFK Jr is going to raise questions about this. He’s apparently going to put some effort into trying to force a debate internally with Democrats. I don’t think it’s going to get anywhere But you’re already seeing these thought terminating cliches starting to line up into place,” and that starts off another thread of conversation about Kamala Harris.
