Biden Inc: Follow the money -- and more than 80 White House visits?

Just how involved did Joe Biden get in Hunter’s business operations while serving as vice president? Biden has steadfastly insisted that he knew nothing about his son’s commercial connections nor facilitated them in any way, even though validated e-mails from Hunter’s laptop offer a much different view of the fiscal relationship with “Celtic” and/or “The Big Guy.”

So too do the White House visitor logs, according to Fox News Digital. Those records show more than eighty visits from Hunter’s business partners, associates, and underlings during the eight years of the Obama administration. And those directly involved Joe Biden on more than a few of those occasions:

Four business partners, a vice president, and two assistants at Hunter Biden’s now-defunct firm visited the White House more than 80 times when his father was vice president in the Obama administration, Fox News Digital has found.

President Biden has repeatedly insisted he had no knowledge of Hunter’s business dealings amid dual criminal and congressional investigations into the first son and his family.

However, Joan Mayer, who says she was the vice president of Hunter’s now-defunct investment firm Rosemont Seneca Advisors from 2008 to 2017 on Linkedin, made at least 17 visits to the White House during that time, according to visitor logs reviewed by Fox News Digital.

Assuming this report is accurate, we can also assume Mayer didn’t go there to take the White House tour. Some of the visits by Mayer and others are clearly social. Mayer attended a couple of holiday receptions at the official VP residence and attended a reception for the Jewish community there once as well. However, Fox News notes that Mayer regularly met with Biden pere‘s staff and on at least one occasion “attended a vice-presidential briefing” in 2009, followed by a meeting with one of the VP’s aides. According to the logs, the Rosemount Seneca Advisors exec continued to get meetings with Biden aides all the way through 2016. Now, why would a senior executive in Hunter’s firm rate a spot in an official vice-presidential briefing at all, let alone a number of meetings with Biden’s aides?

Mayer isn’t the only question mark here either. Hunter’s assistant Anne Marie Person visited the White House five times, but at least a couple of those related to a job she took there eventually. But even that has some curious connotations, as her brother Francis “Fran” Person worked for Joe Biden for years until a few months after his sister joined the VP’s office. This looks a little more like a Person-swap, considering what happened next:

FOX Business previously reported on Fran Person’s ties to Hunter and how Rosemont Seneca Advisors had a financial stake in a company run by Fran and a Chinese executive with ties to officials at some of the highest levels of the Communist Party of China. Person previously claimed that “Hunter Biden, Rosemont Seneca Advisors or any affiliate or associate have never held any equity in any Harves affiliated company,” despite multiple emails from Hunter and his business partner Eric Schwerin contradicting this claim.

Fran would go on to visit the White House at least seven times after he left his role there and later became a top executive at the Harves Group, a DC-based affiliate of China’s Harves Century Group, a “top tier private chinese real estate development firm,” according to a 2015 email from Fran to Hunter. Person previously told Fox News Digital the visits were “personal in nature” and that he was “visiting with old colleagues and friends”

What about Schwerin? At the time, Hunter’s business partner “managed almost every aspect” of the Bidens’ financial structure, according to Hunter’s ex-wife Kathleen Buhle. Schwerin made 27 visits to the White House during the Obama years, including a number of them in 2016. Three of those visits were with Anne Marie Person, two with current White House counselor Steve Richetti, and other meetings with Kaitlyn Demers and John McGrail. It seems pretty clear that these were not social calls — so what business would Hunter’s Rosemount Seneca partner have with his father’s office, especially as the family money man?

There are others as well — John Robinson Walker, another Rosemount partner, showed up 16 times. Devon Archer, co-founder of the firm with Hunter, met directly with Joe Biden in 2009 and 2014, although those do look more like social visits. An assortment of assistants made several visits to the VP’s aides too.

So what do we make of this? Far from being a disinterested distant observer of Hunter’s businesses, it looks as though Joe Biden took a very keen interest in them. It’s tough to explain any other reason Joe would have his staff regularly available to Hunter’s business partners, perhaps especially Schwerin. It certainly implies that Joe was using his office to boost Hunter’s commercial interests, and perhaps his own, given what we’ve learned from the e-mails off Hunter’s laptop.

Does this prove anything? No, but it certainly lays out a path for investigators if they want to follow the money and the potential corruption. Thus far, though, remarkably few media outlets have had any interest in doing so, even though Hunter’s business interests include ties to China and Ukraine, two of the biggest foreign-policy issues facing the US at the moment. Isn’t that lack of curiosity … curious?
