Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Alan Colmes, and Pat Caddell discussed Barack Obama’s comments on coal from his January 2008 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle two nights ago. We get a nice mention from Hannity as his panel marvel at the fact that his remarks about forcing electricity prices to “skyrocket” never got highlighted by the Chronicle:
As always, we can expect Colmes to provide the spin, claiming that McCain has the “same” cap-and-trade system, which they do not. Colmes also tries to claim that Obama wouldn’t bankrupt coal-plant providers after we heard Obama say explicitly that he would. Not even Obama would describe his cap-and-trade system as the same as McCain’s, and in fact McCain encourages exploration and increased domestic production on the front end of all current energy sources as a means to pay for the R&D for future energy sources.
I love Caddell’s response, though, to Colmes’ spin. “I believe you, Alan, but didn’t Obama just say it himself?”
Just for the record: YouTube’s Naked Emperor News should get the credit for this find, at least for the “bankrupt” quote. We added the “skyrocket” quote to that, but we wouldn’t have known to look without the first video produced by NEN.
